Depends on what country they live in. Different countries have different ages of consent. It ranges from 9 to 20. Some countries don't even have an age of consent.

It's only legal to have sex if you're 16 或者 over. Therefore in this situation, the guy would be prosecuted for having sex with someone under sixteen; this would legally classify him as a poedaphile.
^I don't think that's leagal, but it's over now so I wouldn't worry about it. To my knowledge, the whole of the UK have the same rules when it comes to leagal ages for sex, but I could be wrong.
People just check the world map and you'll see how old 你 "have to be" to have legal sex where 你 live. If one of 你 is younger then that age and the other one is older then it's illegal. It doesn't matter if it's just a one 年 difference.
If both are younger 或者 both older than the age of consent then nothing can happen.
At least that's how it is in my country. But 你 know as long as your both willing I don't think anything can happen.
if the girls mom 或者 dad 或者 something gets pissed they can press charges on the guy and he could get in trouble but if no one cares and the girl wants to its alright (in US at least)
Yeah well that's also what I meant. Some bodies are mature and ready when the person is 14. Not everyone is the same. Besides the age is 15 in my country which is only one 年 over 14.

having sex, is not illegal. its frowned upon for minors to have sex but 你 deffinatley can not be fined 或者 sent to jail for having sex, think about it. your personal opinion is that fourteen is too young and 你 clearly feel strongly about that. but it really depends on how emotionally prepared someone is, if they can handle the pressure and emotions that go along with sex, then she is ready and its perfectly legal, so go fot it;p..
