He didn't care that she was Muggle born, I don't think he would care if she were Muggle either. He loved her because of who she was, not what she was.

None cause Petunias a Bitch and he wouldnt have noticed Lily If she wasn't a witch. Plus he doesnt really like muggles that much.

Snape loved Lily for whom she was as a person. Besides Petunia's a whiny bitch who never got over the fact that she wasn't accepted to Hogwarts

Neither. I think his love for Lily grew stronger at Hogwarts, and she wouldn't have been there. Admittedly, Petunia would have been there, but... I think she still would have been quite bitchy... probably in Slytherin, and she's just not nice. She has none of the qualities that Lily had.

I believe Lily may not have been the same person if the rolls had been reversed. The main thing she and Severus had in common was the being unexcepted by their families. This was the bond that kept them together for as long as they were the comfort of someone who understood and excepted them as they were in the magical craft.

What 1st attracted and made Severus contact Lily was the fact that she was a witch. If Petunia had been a witch, Severus would have spoken to and tried to be friends with her. He wouldn't have been interested in Lily because she was a muggle and at the time he didn't like muggles (probably because of his father). Petunia and Severus might have gotten along, but they would only have had at most 1 year instead of 2 to cement their friendship as Petunia was older than Severus. Petunia would have left for Hogwarts earlier and made friends with other magical children her own age and that combined with their time apart and the fact that Petunia was not as attractive as Lily would have ensured that Severus did not developed any romantic feelings for Petunia.
