The writers are using BD as The Philadelphia Story (played by Katharine Hepburn & James Stewart), already giving BD a sad ending. Anyone who has seen the film knows, James plays a poor loser in love with Katharine as a rich lady. Katharine doesn’t actually love him, in the end she only feel pity and sorry for him.

In the film, Katharine truly loves her ex (played by Cary Grant), in the end they end up married.

BD will continue till S4E20, but the story is mainly on other people’s reactions, and obviously proves no chance of SD. C only remotely cares about BD, but he is super jealous about Louis (C knows his true competition). RL are settled. V reminds D he lives in Brooklyn. There is hope for SN.

*SD doesn’t work out, in the past, it was S’s fault. But in the future it’s D’s fault. D falls in love with B, wants to be with her. A very possible reason for BD is to completely cross out SD ever happening again.

Hmm. I think parts are true (DB being inspired by The Philadelphia Story, for example) but others (such as DS being completely dead) are not. Also, I don't think there's any hope for NS. I think these are foilers.

I love Blair and Dan together but I hate the fact they wont last and DV is gone 4ever they say which makes me soooo much sadder bcoz theyre my 2nd fave couple1!!! T_T

i got super sad that my OTP (Dair) wasn't happening, but then i found out there was a still a chance for my othe OTP (serenate), and i got happy again!
