Sailor Moon Crystal: "Act 26 - Replay, Never Ending" Review
Well, folks. This was it. The final act in the Black Moon story arc. It was a roller coaster of a season, with lots of ups and downs, but we made it. I can\'t say I enjoyed every moment, but I enjoyed most of it. And I\'m pleased to report things ended on a very satisfying note.
Act 26\'s strength lay in the completion of Chibiusa\'s character arc. When we first met her, "Small Lady" was a spoiled, self-centered jewel thief who caused Usagi and her friends nothing but trouble. But now she\'s come full circle. She loves Usagi. She wants to be just like Sailor Moon. Best of all, she
just like Sailor Moon: she\'s Sailor Chibi Moon! Sure, she had to go through an awkward, murderous phase in between (see: Black Lady), but Chibiusa isn\'t really evil. She\'s a good girl who cares about her friends, and a pretty kick-butt Guardian, too!
Sailor Moon Crystal: First Season Wrap Up
Watching her and Usagi team up to defeat Death Phantom was great. It was so satisfying to see Chibiusa finally get the chance to save her family and make up for her past mistakes.  I admit I was baffled when Neo Queen Serenity sent her off to battle without the Sailor Guardians, but I guess they weren\'t needed, since she and Sailor Moon were able to take out Death Phantom with a single,
Moon Princess Halation attack. (The shot of Nemesis exploding in Super Nova fashion was pretty cool.)
Speaking of Sailor Moon, it was exciting to watch her meet her future self after the battle was over. I know, I know. All of Space-Time should have unravelled when that happened. I was able to overlook the logistical faux pas anyway, because I got to see the two Usagis FINALLY meet and exchange gratuities for helping each other. (I really liked the art direction in this scene. Using a split screen was an effective way to symbolize the time-space divide between Sailor Moon and her future self.)

The were some nice moments involving Tuxedo Mask and the Guardians as well, but the thing that tugged at my heartstrings the most was when Usagi and Chibiusa had to say their farewells after returning to the past. I loved how even when they were crying and hugging goodbye in Usagi\'s room, they were STILL arguing. ("Don\'t Cry." "You\'re the one who\'s crying!") It\'s a testament to how their relationship has changed, but their personalities have not. Of course, Chibiusa returned at the very end to set up the next story arc, but it didn\'t diminish the heartfelt moments she and Usagi shared.

"Replay, Never Ending" was a fitting end to the season. It was touching, featured nice art direction, and successfully completed Chibiusa\'s story arc.
