Whats your style for icons?

I 爱情 doing 图标 where I desaturate everything except the hair and eyes and then give those some cool effects 由 messing with the contrast 或者 doing some stuff with the engrave tool.

Here is one of the ones I'm 更多 proud of.

It seems like everything I make 或者 use is either

A. Feminine as fuck
B. Derpy and stupid
C. Dramatic

I guess my "style" 或者 "method" is just that I apply my pre-existing art and photo-manipulation knowledge whether I mean to 或者 not. Sometimes I learn knew things.
In general I try to evoke a certain feeling and what exactly I'm trying to do depends on the icon.

I'm particularly focused on composition, colour, and lighting, I think. Probably mostly composition. Since 图标 are a bit limited in how much 你 can control the picture- unless 你 want to do a full on photoshop job with it which is a lot of work for an icon- I think it's most effective to focus on how the image sits in the frame.

The first one I cropped/coloured actually literally only a few hours ago, the 秒 one I literally just cropped because it was so ridiculous on it's own, and the last one I played around a lot with the values and light 来源 that were already there. (it was originally a 100x100 size but I blew it up since the others were 200x200. The one in the corner is the actual size.)

Maybe dark romantic?? I don't know honestly 哈哈 xD

Many would come to mind but the ones I can think of right now are:

1.Personality/mood defining 图标
2.Vibrant 图标 (Like that lily vocaloid 图标 a while back)
3.Badass character (Like the one I have now
4. 或者 insert 最喜爱的 character face as a 图标 (Regardless of what fandom it is)

Well, it really varies. I wouldn't say that I follow a specific pattern. There are various factors for choosing 图标 like my mood at the time, need to 显示 爱情 towards a particular Character / subject 或者 my relatability. While I 显示 faces most of the time, I haven't been making them being that close even though lately, I am considering it 更多 XD I just like having a 更多 detailed displaying of the Character for others to see. Kinda hard to explain but pretty much, I am going to choose whatever appeals aesthetically to me. 你 know, like certain color combinations, cheerful smiles 或者 the exact opposite XD Whatever can give me that much of a dynamic vibe at the time to the point of actually making it my Icon.

I guess, if I had to mention one preference of mine, that would be my displaying of Waifus XD I'm pretty sure most have realized that the majority of my 图标 is comprised 由 them. Certainly, I have just as many Male Characters that I consider my 收藏夹 but it just so happens that Females have taken the lead for now !!!!
