why do some 粉丝 act like theyve monopolized a character 或者 fandom?

I don't think I've seen that here unless you're talking about the 'true fan' nonsense. 由 this I mean; "oh you're not a real 粉丝 of *insert show* if 你 like *insert character*" To be honest I never got that.

Now if you're getting at something like, "I'm the biggest 粉丝 of this character!" I don't think that they mean any harm. If someone is super attached to a character I think it could feel like an accomplishment if everyone on the sites seems to know how much 你 爱情 the character. The problem lies in them being like "this character is mine, mine, mine." I'll do this sometimes, but I'm just joking around.

Nah but rly i don't consider myself as those type of ppl (at least i hope i'm not ._.), i don't own the 或者 anything. I don't get bothered at all if someone else loves 说 character,, in fact i get happy. The 更多 the better, ya know? ;v

Now as for why some 粉丝 act like they 'own' a character is probably b/c they 爱情 the character so much they feel no one else could like them / understand them as much as they do.. thus making things easier for them to get 'triggered' 由 the thought of having to share them w/ others. I mean.. i don't exactly blame them since i've kinda been through that phase before but if it resorts to aggressiveness to other 粉丝 who like the character then that's wrong & need to quit that =.=

But no, in all seriousness, if this is about me and my Mepphy obsession, I'm perfectly fine with people liking the character and the show. I just don't like people being attracted to him romantically because I'm in 爱情 with him (even though he's a fictional character. Pathetic, I get it) so it'd be like seeing some other derp flirting with my crush 或者 some shit 或者 hitting on my boyfriend so I immediately get defensive even though he's just a fictional character. Cuz all in all, I'm a very self-centered person. :v
At the same time I'm pretty caring, though. Like if 你 honestly opened up to me and actually talked to me I'd be 老友记 with you. Instead of most other Mephisto fangirls that lash out after I get defensive and call me a retard 或者 something when I claim Mephisto. One of my close 老友记 is actually also a huge fangirl over Meph but I 爱情 her to fuckin death cuz she's so adorable and funny...

So, just saying from the end of one of those people that "monopolize" a character. I in no way own him but I'm madly in 爱情 with the character and would fight to the death for him. :T
