Your reaction to the Tennnessee bill that allows the bullying of LGBT students because of *ahem* "Religious Freedom?"

It's BULLSHIT.
Bullying is unacceptable no matter what. And for passing a bill that ALLOWS people to bully LGBT students is downright disgusting. This is one of the reasons why people are committing suicide every damned 日 because people allow shit like this.
I'm pretty sure God loves EVERYONE no matter what, and religous freedom my ass. They're making Christians look even worse.

They're also allowed to bully students outside of their religion as well. It's disgusting. It's one thing to have an opinion on a group of people, but allowing harassment towards them in the name of your faith is a special kind of hateful idiocy which makes me lose further hope in humanity. This is the kind of thing which leads kids to depression and suicide when there is nothing at all wrong with them.
基督教 is a religion which supposed to prevent judgement. Not freaking encourage it. Don't make your own faith look bad 由 using it as a cover for hate.

i don't live in Tennessee and don't know it's true effects and until there's good evidence on either side of the argument, good 或者 bad, i'm just gonna remain neutral to it... opinions are great, but facts trump all... need the reasoning of many different sources to make sure of an un-bias decision. there's always gonna be two sides to every story... and one site typically will only portray one 或者 the other unless it's over-viewing the both.

IDK. I kind of feel as though every state may as well have passed a law like that for pretty much everything a person can be bullied for. It's not like the government tries to stop bullying. They let it go pretty much every time--be it bullying a kid for having glasses 或者 for being overweight. Little is done about it. Bullying of the LGBT students isn't the only type of bullying the government 'allows'. And that's what makes me mad. Not that they allow the bullying of LGBT alone, but that they allow it in general...by letting it happen.

They're 更多 content to try to tell people how not to get bullied than telling them not to bully. And that's a load of bullshit.

But then again, even if the government passed a law banning the bullying of LGBT students 或者 bullying in general, it'd probably be just as enforced as 'no littering' 或者 'no jay-walking'. Why? Because the people who do the bullying just won't care, they'll do it anyways.

Unfortunately bullying is just one of those things that 你 can't stop. And it's a damn shame. And an even bigger shame that they are starting to back up the bullies 更多 than the victims...

Okay, this pisses me off. I'm Christian, and I view homosexuality as a sin. But I sin too, so I can't judge them for being as humanly sinful as we've all been cursed to be. To bully someone on account of a certain sin is absolutely wrong. It is all under the pretense that it's a part of 基督教 and the religious freedom we deserve, but this isn't damn religious freedom. To partake in this bullying is to disobey the Bible directly. We are to treat others as we wish for them to treat us. We are of the mindset that all are equal. THIS IS THE EXACT FUCKING OPPOSITE! Anyone who does this is essentially stating publicly that they are NOT Christians! Sure, maybe it's a sin. But no-one should even consider getting onto others for sin until they themselves have cleansed themselves, which we can never do thanks to the curse. "Creationists of course will 爱情 the bill." Bullshit. Any real Christian hates it.

Words cannot describe how much anger I have right now. I've always hated Tennessee, but I might have to go there for college...Jesus, why can't people just learn to accept and forgive? For YEARS it's been all about religion. That's all everything revolves around these days. Religious people need to get over the fact that some people don't believe it the same stuff they do, so therefore, they are free to live their lives however THEY want, not however 你 want them to be.

i doubt the bill will last, as allowing students to bully others (although the act of bullying itself is enough to remove the bill) under religious freedom in school environments violates the seperation of state and religion. from what i've skimmed over on different 文章 on the story (to make sure it was true, that is) the ACLU has presented its warning to the senate about the damage this bill would cause. with it being passed, unfortunately, it will open the door to a new 辩论 and possibly a supreme court case debating how far the first amendment extends when it comes to "freedom of religion".
personally i'm not suprised tennessee would pass such a law, since its also the same state that tried to tie welfare benefits to children's grades (aka an F in class means an entire family is subject to suffer w/out assistance)

My 心 feels for those LGBT students. True, I don't approve of their ways, but nobody should ever be bullied just because of their preferences. I know what it feels to be bullied.
Another reason I feel for them is because they don't have Jesus. Those who have heard about Him have rejected Him, and that really hurts Him; and it hurts me, too.

This actually sickens me, this is complete ( excuse my language ) bullshit. They should never ever allow children to bully other children because of their sexuality. It is wrong to bully someone at all never let the fact that they are encouraging it. I understand that some people have religious freedom but that doesn't mean 你 can hate on someone in the name of god. God would never want anyone to be doing any of that to any one in his name 或者 because of him. People need to understand that the LGBT community are still human beings, they can't just be pushed around because they're different and " not abiding " 由 the " rules " of certain religions. Some people just need to understand that everyone is not always going to be the same, and it's okay, it's okay to be different. Everyone is still beautiful, what matters is if you're beautiful on the inside.

No wonder so many victims who fall to bullying commit suicide, it's because of people like those who are permitting it. They might as well allow people to kill others because bullying is just another form of killing someone. The world just keeps getting worse every day.

In a perfect world, whether than bill passes 或者 not won't affect anything. The bill doesn't damage so much as the people that take advantage of it.

God loves everyone, did anyone who came up with that bill read the Bible?? 耶稣 ate 晚餐 with sinners, and everyone was shocked because he was the Son of God. But he still did it because he knew we are all the same. We are all human, we all sinned, we all did something that went against our religion.

If this was really about religion, it would be to stop bullying and helping people, accepting people, loving people. Ok, so maybe people are not exactly like 你 but we all have the same goal and needs, the same feelings.
I hope we all grow up and realize that. We are teaching a generation of kids to hate other people because they are not like us. If we say that bullying is okay, then we are NOT and WILL NEVER be truly following our religion.
