Who here wears braces?

I don't have braces-but I heard this:

A. Yes-THEY HURT, for a few weeks it will hurt to chew and stuff (As they are already put on) But the pain won't last that long.

B. It depends how long 你 have to wear them. Some have to wear it for 1 yr 或者 even 3.

C. Do 你 have to wear Brace's just for straightening teeth? NO. There are these plastic thingys. 你 don't have to wear them at the day-only for 床, 床上 time-braces are old inventions for that ( like why go through all that pain and suffering for straightening teeth?)

D. Will 你 look ugly with them on? Only if 你 don't choose a ridiculous colour. Try to use pale blue, 粉, 粉色 或者 red 或者 another colour that doesn't attract to much attention, when choosing 模特 of braces. (DO NOT choose green, yellow, 或者 black-you will be the laughing stock, I warn you)

E. Should I get them now-That I'm young? YES. now is a good time, trust me. Don't wait till 17 或者 something,its best to get them done and over it when younger. Kids look cute with braces-Older? Its tacky.

Not me. But,my friend has braces. She told me,it's a little hard to eat with them,and she 说 they hurt. Or,was that when she first got them on.

not anymore but yeah it hurts at first ,,but you'll get used to it

No. But I wear the 文章 of clothing! They look awesome on girls. I wear them with skirts

me. it hurts for like 4 days after getting them. 你 musn't drink soda 或者 eat crisps. actually nothing happens if 你 eat, they're just unnecessary rules.

I havent got them, but im getting them soon. I think they do hurt a bit. My friend has braces and when she drank 可乐 (or any other fizzy drink) one of the front ones fell off, so I would advise not to drink fizzy!

they hurt but only really when they first put them on and when they shorten the wire and tighten the braces

the orthodontist will most likely give 你 a kit with a lot of important information. this will help with what is okay to eat and also how to keep them clean like flossing

你 might have the braces on for 1-3 years usually. its best to get braces now while 你 are young

if anything feels funny 或者 concerns 你 all 你 have to do is talk to your orthodontist and they will help

in the end 你 will have straight white and beautiful teeth and even though braces are irritating at times they are definitely worth it!

I had braces a couple of years 以前 ... I remember it just hurting in the beginning but after a while I didn't even notice them anymore ... and when I got them out again it felt like something is missing ^^

I used to wear them.

For the first few days they should hurt, but after a while you'll get used to'em. Usuallhy after 你 get them 你 take care of'em for a while, and at some point they might give 你 rubber bands to wear. Those will hurt for a while, but you'll get used to them too. If 你 take care of your braces you'll have'em off quickly, probably under a 年 或者 two.

I do, but mine are going be off on the twelfth. 你 can eat chips and drink soda, but don't drink soda, tea, 或者 coffee constantly. 你 will get cavities. Mine have been on for two and a half years. They hurt when 你 first get them on, when 你 get rubber bands/appliances, and when the change the wire. Pretty much eat anything that's not sticky 或者 extremely hard, i.e. 焦糖 apples, gum, chewing ice, etc. 你 CAN eat beef jerky-if 你 are careful.

yes indeed i wear braces. and indeed they stink.
people say 你 cant eat thing like gum and 爆米花 and stuff like tht, but really it depends on your orthodontist. 你 can eat sugarless gum, because otherwise it gets stuck in your braces, and 爆米花 is okay it just gets kinda uncomfortable after 你 eat it since it's like under a wire 或者 something.
and they do hurt after 你 get them tightend SOMETIMES. they dont always hurt. they just feel really sore sometimes, and it will last at most 4-5 days. but other times they will have a sharp spot on the wire 或者 a metal peg sticking out of it and it will poke the heck out of your gums, so 你 will have to put some wax on it (the ortho should give it to 你 along with a whole kit once 你 get them on)
你 do not want to get white 或者 yellow, because it will make your teeth look yellow and gross. trust me. i dont think black makes them look ugly though.
i got mine on a little over 1 and 1/2 years ago, and i SHOULD get them off in august *squeals*
unfortunately though, i have to get some "mouth surgery". and i have one tooth that hasnt come in yet, so they took an xray, blah de blah, its doing the wrong way, blah de blah. and apparently its not in the gums above all of my teeth, its like in the roof of my mouth! FUN!!! so they are going to have to cute a square out of my gums, attach a bracket (glued piece of metal) to my tooth with a chain, and some how pull it back to where its supposed to be. not trying to scare you, BUT ITS EXTREMELY UNLIKELY THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

Well I used to have them, I got them off last year. And yes, for the first couple days they hurt. But maybe that's because I got both the 最佳, 返回页首 and bottom ones at the same time. They say to rinse with salt water and mouthwash (mouthwash for flavor) and it should reduce swelling and pain. Good luck.

Hello. Yes I have braces, but it's not really anything to worry about. I had to have 4teeth pulled out also which wasn't very nice:/ for the first few days there will be an uncomfortable sort of tension in your mouth, and when 你 try and bite it will hurt. The best thing to do is have some painkillers and have soft foods like sandwhiches and soup. It's not that bad though. It hurts abit, but it's not unbearable. Good luck ! Hope it all goes ok :)

In fact i just got braces yesturday. As of right now my mouth is in alot of pain but i was told that are gonna hurt for a couple of weeks and it also hurts when u eat food. I dunno much about braces i just got them.
