Well, hypothetically, if 你 were in say, a talent show, and 你 wanted to lose, 你 would intentionally screw up (i.e. 唱歌 badly). Then 你 wouldn't win, therefore meeting your goals. So if losing is what 你 wanted to do the whole time, I'd say 你 suceeded.
