this is a 问题 to anyone who is an expert on chickens

嘿 I need some confirmation on something.
One of my chickens has been spending most of her time in the coup in the same spot for the past few days and I checked the coup earlier and in the exact same spot she had been sitting in there were four eggs

I have to know, is she nesting?

Yes, a mother chicken will never leave her nesting spot unless she needs to go get 食物 或者 water, 或者 happens to use the bathroom.
Until the eggs are hatched, she will remain in the coup for several days 或者 maybe a week depending how long it takes.

Sounds like it to me, but the best way to know is to try to run her off the nest. Not aggressively, but something that will generally make her leave. If she doesn't leave 或者 comes back quickly, it's a very 安全 bet she's nesting.
