They were incredibly influential in politics and in terms of social change. (John Lennon especially.) Even today, they still sell albums 由 the millions. They have helped to define rock and roll itself, showed what it's all about. They led the British invasion as well. Not to mention that their sound was amazing, as was their songwriting and lyrics.
