In the early ages they were an elite group of knights, Samurai, Janissary, or Boyar. Sometimes they were Varangian guards or Swiss Mercenaries turned from their original trade. But they all shared something. They shared their ability to fight and their ability to plan and be strategists.

But today things are different. We live in a modern world. No wars on foot that are fought hand to hand. No wars fought on horseback or vikings raiding the shores of the English. We have the military to fight our wars while the civilians sit back and live their happy lives.
But somethings can't be done by the military. Not because they aren't capable, they are plenty capable. But they have a law and code to follow. This elite group does not. This is what the Warrior academy is for.

One hundred years ago a man named Vaughn Byron founded a school he called "Akademiya dlya intelektualʹnykh i dosvidchenykh biytsiv", being the mouthful it is his son, a student, started the trend of just calling it the Warrior Academy. Here at this school young people of our world are chosen upon careful consideration and brought here to learn and train. They learn normal school stuff, but they are also put through vigorous training, both physical and mental. They are being trained for a very special job. To help protect against unnatural evils and get the jobs done that the military cannot because unlike the military, they are not bound by the law. But because of this they also have to be extremely careful because they can still be put into a prison or punished. Upon entering the students are tested and then put into a group that becomes their team to get to know and eventually work with for the rest of their careers. There are five specific types of groups within the team, the Strategists, Combatants, Medics, Transporters, and Intelligence. One person, sometimes more depending on the team, is chosen and put into a team.

>Strategists: sort of the leader of the team. These people help plan out the missions they are given and coordinate the attacks. These people are smart and cunning and typically there is only one or two in a team.
>Combatants: These are the fighters. They face intense physical training and are stealth in their jobs. They can be ruthless and if they aren't chosen carefully and turn into psycho killers...no pressure right? There are typically 5-6 of these people on a team - there are also sub categories of combatants, these are what they specialize in, but they do both.

>Medics: This says it all. They take care of anything relating to medical issues. Mostly injuries that occur on a mission and afterwards. They have to go through most the training combatants go through and then the medical training too. There are typically between 1 and 3 of these people on a team.
>Transporters: They transport supplies and the team to where they need to be by either vehicle or aircraft or water craft. They can also use their transportation as a weapon if need be, such as fighter jets. The number of these people is typically 2
>Intelligence: These people are like the spies. They go behind enemy lines and gather intelligence, bringing it back to the strategist. Typically there is only 1 or 2 on a team

*Note:
•The teams are formed the first year at the academy, but due to incidents, new students can be put with older teams. These mixes are harder, but death does occur
•The students are ages 13-19
•They can go on missions as early as their first year, but missions are typically reserved for higher year students
•Just because their in a team, does not mean they have to get along right away, though they do kind of have to get along to be effective. But hey, that's what training is for - also despite needed specific training, once a team is formed all training is typically conducted together.
