‘s Melissa Benoist also won for Choice Action TV Actor and Actress, respectively — and clearly earned those surfboards after having to present an award alongside an animated dancing hot dog. (Yes, really.)

Dam you Riverdale! Stranger Things getting nothing here! Millie or Finn should’ve won Breakout Star!

Sometimes I hate award shows, because they usually don’t get through all of the categories. The teen choice awards didn’t even get through half of their categories. They would have gotten through more if there were less performances and more categories. There were way too many performances.

There are also way too many categories. I think that’s the bigger problem. I don’t think they’d be able to get through 50 awards in one sitting.

Yay for Riverdale!! Though I love Stranger things as well. Lili Reinhardt is a gem and love Bighead

Zendaya is such an important role model. I’m so pleased with her speech; I only wish some of the white allies could have spoken up as well

LOL, the CW PR put in the work. I hope all this brings them the desired result they are hoping for come fall. I’m not even going to go into anything else just know this is my last year voting in this clearly rigged “choice” awards. Zendaya was a highlight for me as well, in this highly overproduced extravaganza. Though i still don’t understand how her 5 mins in SMHC was enough to get her nominated in that category and not let’s say a scene-stealer category which imo i think she was, but I digress, her acceptance speech is what i call using your platform well, hopefully her targeted audience got the message. Your commentary on the dancing hotdog did make me chuckle.
