Introduction
It was June 1, 2018, Lola's twenty-first birthday. Her 老友记 were celebrating with her. As they were enjoying some cake, John asked, "What was your life like before 你 met your band mates, Lola?" She said, "It was okay, I guess." Peter asked, "Was it as tragic as Paul's?" She said, "Not really. It had its good and bad points. Are 你 sure 你 want me to talk about it?" Allen said, "Yes." Erin said, "You haven't really told us much about your childhood." Lola was apprehensive. Paul said, "It's all right. 你 can tell us." Carl said, "That's right. We're your friends." Lola smiled and said, "All right. I'll tell you."
Lola's Early Life
I was born on June 1, 1997. I was an only child. My parents only wanted one child. Growing up, I did wish I had a younger brother 或者 sister so that I'd have somebody to play with. Despite the fact that I didn't have any younger siblings, I was very nurturing from a young age. One day, I found an injured bird. She was unable to fly. I nursed her back to health and released her back into the wild. I also helped an orphaned raccoon. Once he was old enough to live on his own, I released him into the wild. The only pet I ever had was a gerbil. His name was Francis. Sadly, he passed after three years. Gerbils usually only live two years, so three is old for a gerbil. I always wanted a dog, but my father was allergic to them. I later learned that he wasn't the only one with allergies. One Christmas, I learned that I was highly allergic to pine. We had a beautiful pine 树 as our 圣诞节 tree, but I had an allergic reaction. I became sick with a severe case of sinusitis, and I spent 圣诞节 in the hospital. Every 圣诞节 since then, we used fake trees. Despite the fact that I am the nurturer, getting people to like me wasn't always easy. I don't understand why. My teachers always 说 that I was the sweetest kid.

Neither one of them liked school much, mainly because of the bullying, but they did enjoy each other's company. Jane's Siberian Husky puppy, Shiloh, was growing up fast. Jane said, "Puppies grow up so fast." Paula said, "I know. When we first met, Shiloh was a tiny puppy." Jane said, "Yeah, and she's now getting close to the full size of a typical Siberian Husky." Jane and Paula reminisced about the months since they had met. They had grown very close. They made a pact that they would remain 老友记 for life, no matter what.

Paul's Special Friend
I first met Erin through Allie. From the sad look in her eyes, I knew that Erin needed a friend. As we got to know each other, she opened up about losing her best friend, Barry. She said, "My poor excuse of a grandfather shot Barry. I offered to get help for him, but he wouldn't let me leave him. I guess he didn't want to die alone." I hugged her and said, "I'm sorry. I know what pain you're going through. I 迷失 my best friend, too. For the longest time, I blamed myself, because Alice and I were playing in the river. It was my insistence. I miss her sometimes, but I'm okay." Erin and I became really close as time passed. She was even passionate about 音乐 like I was. There was once when we got into a big argument, but our friendship was stronger, and we've remained best 老友记 ever since. One day, when we were in high school, we put our heads together, and we decided to start a band. Of course, the challenge was finding other members.
