Still tired from yesterday.... This will be the only one today. But I hope that I will be 更多 cheerful tommorrow. But thanks to yesterday, I got about 10 new ideas up my sleeves. ^_^

Bella's POV


I just stared at Aro and Edward in confusion.
A shield? What? Like the ones in Medieval Times wearing a shiny new armor?
"I can see your confusion, Bella. But this is something that we didn't experience before. This ability can be very powerful, and something we should not treat lightly." Aro 说 with reverence in his voice.
I was only confused farther. I didn't 评论 of Aro's, statement. I can still tell that Tom was behind me, without even looking at him; his breathing and heartbeat were rapid with horror and confusion, just like me.

I calmed a little at the sound of Edward's voice, who was standing right beside me, holding my hand.
"Shielding... is a great defense. We have heard of a phyical barrier, but never a mental barrier."
Then Edward looked at me with eyes full of wonder. "This could be the reason why Aro and I can't read your minds.. that Jane can't attack."
I didn't answer.
"Don't 你 understand Bella? 你 have something special." Aro urged.
I have to admit, I was getting to understand. Since I was little my parents think I have a private mind. Is this the outcome of that?
But this doesn't affect me so much. It's not like I'm the most powerful vampire in the world...

Then Jane's patience ran out.
"UGH! CAN WE JUST KILL HIM ALREADY!?!?!?" she yelled to Caius. They exchanged a glance for about 1 second. Caius nodded.
Jane and Alec moved into a crouch. I did too, defending Tom who was right behind me. I hissed. Then I felt the "shield" expanding again, making Alec's and Jane's abilities useless. I grinned. I guess this is a very useful defence move.
Still holding the shield in place, I turned to look at Aro and Edward. They were talking... again. I groaned. They are talking as if they are long time friends.

"Edward, figure this out later, we need to run, get away from here. We need to protect Tom. I don't know how much longer I could hold the shield in place." I whispered so low that only Edward could hear it. Edward turned away from Aro and looked at me in horror. He nodded though.
I turned around, the shield was still holding back Jane and Alec, and saw Tom. He was curled into a ball, with both of his hands around his knees. I felt my grip on the shield slipping. I grabbed Tom, and Edward and I were running away as fast as we can into the forest, away from the Volturi, away from danger.
