Lucas: Well, his father abandoned him and his mom (who is one of the most important people in his life) to go sleep with some college chick and make her pregnant about four months later. Then, have his father pick THEM over him and his mom. And, as if that wasn't enough, his uncle (who was basically like the only father he ever knew) is killed by the father that abandoned him out of envy and hate.

Nathan: Well, his father treated him like dirt. The only reason he loved his son was to watch the rebirth of himself because he was an idiot and quit bball under the pressure. Then, his mother became alcoholic and drug addicted, and decided to not be there for him when he needed her the most. She eventually came around but it took a while. A LOOONG while. Then his son nearly dies, his wife wants a divorce because of a crazy nannie who thinks that he loves her, and, not to mention, his basketball dreams vanished after he made one mistake by protecting his wife and became temporarily paralyzed.

Peyton: Every love she ever knew was taken from her. She made mistakes, like every one else, but SHE was the one who always paid the most for her mistakes. First, she was just an innocent nine year old when her OWN mother ran a read light and poof- vanished. She grieved for 7 years until she met a boy, a boy who changed her life, but she was so used to losing people that she was too afraid to commit. But when she was, he was already taken. She spent so much time fighting for him, TOO much time, and he was just yet another person taken away from her. Then, there was her second mother who once again she was afraid to get attatched too and when she did she truly believed Ellie when she said that her cancer wasn't going to kill her- well, what another lie. As soon as she started getting attatched and started loving this new mother, she died.

Haley: Well, not much has happened to her up until season 5 other then having to fight for her husband was a little obnoxious for a short period of time, and being a pregnant teenager and dealing with a couple of fights with her husband. Normal stuff.
But in season 5 everything bad just jumped out at her. Her husband was in such a dark place that she eventually had to put it through his mind that he was basically breaking her and Jamie's heart and that it was killing the family. Then, trying to fix her marriage and free her schedule to actually get a second or two to breath, she hires a psycho nanny that betrays her trust by trying to sleep with her husband who she then catches in the shower together, and believes that this has been going on for a while; and is NOT just a misunderstanding. Then, following these series of unfortunate events her son decides that she is the worst person in the world right before he nearly dies. Then, this same psycho nanny decides to try and kidnap her own child. Yikes. And then (not that I know for sure) but this same psycho nanny is supposed to come back for season 6!!!

Brooke: On top of a best friend who betrayed her twice with her boyfriend who she decided to give her a second chance and when she finally fell in love with him decided to betray her with the same scinerio from season 1. And after being able to forgive them, her bitchy mom who was never in her life until now, decides to only "love her" if she is successful and paying her good money.

Yeah, I can say they have been through the most.

Sure, the kids from the OC have had some problems but none like the ones OTH has had. Geez.

but if you think about it marissa dying was like a big deal so i think that can count for like 5 bad things happening :D but anyway i picked oth :)

Honestly i think we just need to look at Peyton for this one:

*drugged - nearly raped
*mum died when she was 9
*father never there
*found out she was adopted
*met her biomum then found her dead
*found out she had a biobrother who didn't want to talk to her
*got stalked by crazy guy who pretended to BE biobrother - nearly raped again by him
*got kinapped - or held in her own house by crazy stalker guy who wanted to rape and kill her!
*Oh - i forgot!!! she got shot in the leg and nearly bled to death
*Found out in season 4 that her best friend betrayed her - slept with her boyfriend - at this point HAD actually been cut out of her best friends life because she(peyton) had done something similar
*love of her life walked out on her (reason STILL not clear)
*when she meets her real bro it's cool and they get along but he has to leave (for war?) because he's a marine!

Yeh so i'd say the OTH - as that's just peyton haven't even started on OC or GG.

I agree with everyone. But I think the whole best friend dying thing trumps everythin else. Keith was sad sure. But, for Brooke and Peyon if he other had died. Tragedy right.

Yeah, Marissa dying was a HUGE deal and I was so upset because I loved RM<3, but I just don't think that's nearly as much as the drama and emotional baggage the oth kids have ;D
