it's been a while since this question was asked but I won't write an essay this time around - I'll keep it short: Seeing as how Luke wrote a book that mentions how Peyton's Art, Passion and Beauty Changed his Life, it's pretty clear that though everyone (especially Keith and Karen) has had a great impact in his life, Peyton would be the primary one. Not to mention he's said he can't live without her. It's not just love now - she's part of who he is to the point that he can't function without her. Poor Luke :P

TOTALLY agree with you abs07! His books say it all!! She has had an amazing impact on his life and has changed his life for the betterr!!!

i think keith, karen, & haley. keith was a HUGE role model & made luke the good person that he is, a good uncle, a good brother & a good friend, he learned it all from keith. obviously karen's strength in raising him semi-alone & how she lived through losing keith also shaped him to be who he is. haley has been his best friend for over half his life so she'd have to be third. i can't say that someone he has known for only a quarter of his life has had the most impact on it. when they have the baby, then that's who i'd say has the most impact. i know in my life, my daughter has had the most impact, but even before that it was the people who i grew up with & who raised me, but it was not my husband, even though he's the most important thing to me & i love him more than my life, he hasn't been THE biggest impact on my life, sure for the past 6 years he has, but not for the 16 years before that, which are the years when you become who you are. i do not understand how both peyton & brooke can be beating keith & karen. that is ridiculous. once again, people seem to just be voting by what couple they like best.

i'd have to say currently it would be Peyton, but for the whole of his life it's Keith. In fact Lucas in many ways is very much like keith and takes pride in that fact. Keith made him who he is now(probably the only plus to keith's character lol) Even now that Keith has been gone for quite sometime he still has a huge impact on Luke's life, you can tell by the way lucas talks about him, keith has more impact on luke's life even though he's dead than most of the characters...more so than I think Karen ever has...Peyton is the only one that comes close, now anyway, but I still have to go with Keith.

LF4E, I agree about Keith. He's a close second if not tied with Peyton, but I also believe that Peyton not only impacted his life recently, but for a long time. She was the one who got him to come out of his shell and shine: "Your Art Matters, it's what got me here."
She was the silver lining in his first successful novel. She inspired his sophomore novel. In a way, she helped him really live. And of course she's counseled the counselor (she's had many words of wisdom for the brooding brute).

I am not picking Peyton cause I am a leyton fan. I believe that she impacted his life a lot!(Just like Karen and Keith) If Peyton AND Keith were an option than that was what I have chosen instead!..But..even so...just like abs07 said above^ ...Peyton has impacted his life for a very long time. Some memorable quotes that back me up on that....
