!’s Watch with Kristin blog reported late on Friday that the couple formerly known as Leyton will probably be returning to One 树 爬坡道, 小山 before Season 8 is through. The original plan was to bring them back for Brooke’s (Sophia Bush) two-episode wedding (planned to air sometime during the first 13 episodes of the season), but now that The CW has ordered six additional scripts, Murray and 伯顿 might return closer to the season (series?) finale. 显示 creator Mark Schwahn also told E! that bringing other characters back would not be out of the question, so Dear Mr. Schwahn, we'll take 更多 of Karen (Moira Kelly) and Jake (Bryan Greenberg), please!
On one hand, this news could not come at a better time for the show, which has been in a slump since Murray and 伯顿 left at the end of Season 6. On the other hand, lots of former 粉丝 think One 树 爬坡道, 小山 should have quit while it was ahead, and bringing Murray and 伯顿 back might just seem desperate. It could also make for some on-set awkwardness—Murray didn't exactly leave on great terms, and he's Sophia Bush’s ex-husband.
I'd like to think that Murray and 伯顿 would give One 树 爬坡道, 小山 a much-needed revival, but at this point it might be too late to save the 显示 from its long, painful death. What do 你 think?

Danneel Harris has closed a deal to reprise her role as pot-stirrer Rachel Gatina in at least seven episodes 下一个 season, beginning with eppy 7.02.
Harris made her 树 爬坡道, 小山 debut as Brooke's high school nemesis in season 3 but wasn't made a series regular until season 4. She was written out in season 5 after only a handful of episodes, an apparent victim of the show's four-year flash forward.
In other 树 爬坡道, 小山 news, the last of 下一个 season's new contract roles has gone to Nuevo 90210 grad Jana Kramer. She'll play Alexis, a model who becomes the new face of Brooke's clothing line. A 最近的 Peyton storyline will completely rock the Peyton we’ve known for years into a darker Peyton. She’ll do incredibly unexpected and inappropriate things to the people around her. Not Brooke beat up Scary, but Jenny Humphrey rebel scary.
