It was called There Seem To Be Many Taylor 迅速, 斯威夫特 References On One Direction's New Album
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Fabulous! Don\'t forget to share with your friends on Twitter and Facebook.
1. While she has never confirmed it, it’s been widely rumoured that Taylor Swift’s album,
1989, was about her relationship with Harry Styles.
Made in the A.M., and it hasn’t gone unnoticed that there appear to be several references to Taylor.
3. First off, there’s “Perfect”, which the boys released last month. Within hours of its release, people noticed that it sounded very similar to Taylor Swift’s “Style”.
4. Not only do the songs sound pretty similar, the lyrics in “Perfect” also echo those in “Style”.
Made in the A.M., just like “Style” is third in the tracklist of 1989.
7. Oh, and it also happens to be exactly the same length as “Style” too.
8. And if you remember the story behind Taylor’s “Out of the Woods,” One Direction’s “End of the Day” is pretty interesting.
Taylor described “Out of the Woods” as a song about a particularly fragile relationship. But it also contained lyrics about an accident on a snowmobile ride with her ex, who lost control and ended up in hospital.
Rolling Stone, Taylor was asked how on earth she and her famous ex managed a trip to A&E without it being leaked. She said: “You know what I’ve found works even better than an NDA? Looking someone in the eye and saying, ‘Please don’t tell anyone about this.’ People think they know the whole narrative of my life. I think maybe that line is there to remind people that there are really big things they don’t know about.”
9. Because “End of the Day” features this line.
10. Both songs have references to the sun, too.
11. Next we have “What a Feeling” from One Direction, which features a line about feeling “like a king”, which echos a similar lyric from Taylor’s “Blank Space”.
12. And while we’re on the subject of “Blank Space”, remember this lyric?
13. Well, this is the first line in One Direction’s “Long Way Down.”
14. And remember this line from Taylor’s “Welcome to New York”?
15. Well, One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” features this line.
16. Then there’s One Direction’s “Wolves,” which is very similar thematically to Taylor’s “I Know Places”.
“I Know Places” is about having a relationship in the public eye, and feeling as though the press and public are “hunting” you down, causing you to run to secret places to escape. It features the lyrics: “See the vultures circling in dark cloud / Love’s a fragile little flame, it could burn out / ‘Cause they got their cages, they got their boxes, and guns / They are the hunters / We are the foxes and we run.”
17. Because “Wolves” also carries the hunting and hiding metaphor.
And like “I Know Places”, it also contains a reference to the “whole world” wanting a piece of the relationship: “But the whole world’s trying to get a piece of you / And my heart keeps fighting in this battle of fools.”
18. And, finally, there’s One Direction’s “Olivia,” which contains numerous similarities to several of Taylor Swift’s songs from
21. Which seem to tell a similar story to this, from Taylor’s “Out of the Woods”.
22. Then there are these two lines about wine stains – the first from Taylor’s “Clean”, and the second from “Olivia”.
23. As well as these two lines about memories and imagination – the first from “Olivia”, and the second from Taylor’s “Wildest Dreams”.
24. And, finally, let’s just acknowledge that Taylor Swift’s cat is called Olivia.
