don't get me wrong i believe that it does mention him its just that henry never talks about rumpelstiltskin so....

Considering he's been involved in almost every fairytale characters storyline I would assume the book would have to mention him.

You would think he'd be mentioned, but I remember Henry saying that he hadn't worked out who Mr Gold was, you'd think he would of been able to work it out seeing as Rumpel is in almost every story. So ye, I'm not sure

Just because Henry couldn't figure out that Mr. Gold was Rumpelstiltskin, doesn't mean he wasn't in the book. Henry also couldn't figure out who Archie was, but we know Jiminy Cricket was in the book.

The people in Storybrooke aren't carbon copies of their Fairy Tale world counterparts.

But I agree, even we as viewers aren't sure who some characters are for certain, so it's no wonder Henry can't figure everyone out.

A friend and I have thought about that. If he is in the book, it should be easy to figure out who he is. Rumple does all his deals, Gold has made deals with people. Easy to see the connection there
