She was supposed to die.

I'm really mixed on this; on one GD she's a nice woman and I do like her, on the other I don't believe it was Emma's place to decide if someone who was supposed...who did die...should get to come back. Especially since, since season one they have been stressing that dead is dead.

^ except dead hasn't been dead since they brought back Rumple and Charming. Sure dead was dead for Daniel and Graham and Milah and everyone Red has ever loved but they turned the tables on that real quick when they killed of one of the characters people actually watch the show for.

This has already been asked and my answer shall stay the same. Marian was an innocent woman, away to die for doing nothing, of course she should have brought her back. I don't care about the consequences no one deserves to die.

@minevadawn That's exactly why I didn't like them bringing Rumps and Charming back. There shouldn't be any exceptions to such a powerful rule.

She saved a human life. So yes.

@zanhar1 I agree. They should not have done that. It broke the rules of magic which was one of the strongest and most consistent parts of the show, but now that its been broken you cant go back to how it was. Death is officially tentative now.

Rumple was apparently brought back because he's "The Dark One" I still don't think that's a good excuse but it's better than Charming's, as much as I love him. Like Cora said the rules cannot be broken. And she's pretty powerful herself.

^ Honestly Marion coming back was way better set up then the other two. It took Zelena a lifetime to come up with a spell powerful enough to break the rules of magic.

@minervadawn Exactly. It just bugs me when an author so firmly states a certian rule, upholds it, and then suddenly breaks it. But yeah, I suppose there isn't any going back on it now.

Wow this is a heated debate..

Trying to save a life is a good thing. For all we know, in the original timeline Marian might have escaped/been rescued and died later - otherwise I think it's a little incredulous that Robin never knew of Regina's role in his wife's death, or confronted her over it.

Though I do think her death was inevitable and that the timeline had a way of correcting things. Emma and Killian found it too easy to get Snowing to meet and parallel their season 1 meeting.
