'Once Upon a Time' casts Aladdin and Jafar

David Anders will return to Storybrooke for one episode in the upcoming sixth season of

star will reprise his role as Dr. Whale, a.k.a Victor Frankenstein, who last appeared in a season 5 episode, where he helped deliver Zelena’s (Rebecca Mader) baby.

“If you’re going to have Jekyll [Hank Harris] and Hyde [Sam Witwer], there has to be a mad scientist convention,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. Adds EP Adam Horowitz: “Let’s just say mad scientists stick together.”

Anders joins other returning familiar faces, including Jessy Schram as Cinderella and Raphael Sbarge as Dr. Hopper, along with new characters Jafar (Oded Fehr), Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz), Princess Jasmine (Karen David), Morpheus (Giles Matthey), and the Count of Monte Cristo (Craig Horner).
