童话镇 Article: My opinion on Neal/Baelfire

So the majority of 你 voted for me to do Neal/Bae third.

As many of 你 already know I 爱情 Neal, he's my third 最喜爱的 character.
Positives:
He is a genuine and sweet guy. I don't understand the hate he gets, it's disgusting. The only mistake he made was leaving Emma, but he was doing it to get her 首页 which people (CS shippers especailly) don't seem to understand. Him leaving her, was helping her reunite with her family so it's basically a good thing. He has been through so much crap in his life due to Rumple abandoning him, like: Getting taken to Neverland, living on the streets for 6 months. No wonder he went into being a thief due to the life he had lived, he had nothing better to do.
When he first met Henry and realized Henry was his son, he immediately tried to be a good father to him. He spent a lot of time with him in Storybrooke rather than trying to fit in. At the end of season 2 he sacrificed himself for Emma and Henry so that they could be together and so that Henry wouldn't be alone. That is a real gentleman and someone who would do anything for his family. In season 3 he risked being captured 由 Pan and the 迷失 boys and still went to help and save Emma/Henry. He didn't do anything wrong which is why I'm not going to 列表 any negatives because I can't think of any (because there isn't any)

I just want to make it clear for any CS shippers 或者 any Neal haters out there: He left Emma to help her get home, to her parents, to save everyone from their land. That's not selfish, it's genuine and selfless.

That's my opinion on Neal

princecatcher93 Neal is so sweet. He's the only character in the show that I don't think I had an "I want to see you die" moment with. I hate how the Rumple Fans say it was unfair for Neal to be so mean to his father so many times but they forget that Rumple dumped his son for magic. Your article makes me love Neal even more!

Evilregal14 Exactly! He left Bae for magic, yet Neal is "unfair" to him? LOL.

SherlockStark I agree with this article; Neal wants to be a good father and wants to protect Emma and Henry, and it's really not his fault that he ended up a thief. However, I disagree that Rumpel left Bae for magic. In my opinion, Rumpel was remembering what happened to his relationship with someone he cared about last time he went through a portal and was scared that similar circumstances would occur if he went through one again. We can see how much he regretted his moment of fear IMMEDIATELY after he let go of Bae and EVERYTHING he did after that moment was just to get Bae back. I realize that we have different opinions here, and that's totally fine; I just want to represent my opinion here, too. :)

Neal watched magic destroy his father and he's seen first hand what it can do. So knowing this.. How could he walk away from Emma without a fight? How could he leave her alone to face magic and curses when it ruined his life? I feel like Neal could have said something like: [i]Leave her? No, absolutely not. Magic ruined my life. I won't leave her to face that alone. I won't keep her from her destiny. I just want to help her face it. Just tell me what I need to do and don't bother telling me I need to leave her again, because it's not happening. I won't abandon her. So where do we need to go?[/i] Even if August still insisted that he needed to leave Emma and left him no other option, he could have fought for her. But he didn't. Not even some kind of note saying [i]"I know you don't understand and I really am sorry about all of this. I will find you one day and explain everything. I love you."[/i] I'm not saying all of this to start anything with anyone, I was just explaining why him abandoning her bothers me. I do understand why he did it. I really do. I just wanted to see more of a fight from him.

matchesrulezu What? My comment wasn't anywhere close to nasty. I was being completely civil and even said that I wasn't looking to start anything with anyone, I was merely explaining my opinion. I did not deserve that at all.

Evilregal14 Calm down I didn't mean you were being nasty. I'm saying fights can start even if you don't mean them to, then people will get nasty with each other. Plus other people might see it as nasty.

matchesrulezu I apologize for misinterpreting your comment. I'll add a note to my comment as an extra measure because I genuinely am not being hostile or provocative. I'm just voicing my opinion and read through it three times to try to weed out anything that might possibly sound offensive.

Evilregal14 I know you're not trying to be nasty but people can read some of them things as nasty, depending on the way you read it. It can sound like you're just being nasty about him without giving him a chance, by the way I read it. But luckily I know you don't mean it like that. And by writing these articles I'm just stating my opinion. These aren't intended for people to share their opinions as well.

matchesrulezu Yeah, that's the problem with reading text on a screen. A simple sentence can be read like five different ways, and all would have a different meaning. Then that all comes down to the perspective of whoever is reading it. Your response is a good example. When I read it, I became defensive because it sounded like you were accusing me of being nasty and basically saying something like "Your comment isn't worth my time" or something similar to "Talk to the hand". Though I can see now that that isn't what you meant. It can be hard to pick up a vibe from the person you're talking to through text.

Evilregal14 I just don't want people posting their opinions on my articles because of that reason, that things can be misinterpreted and then fights will start on an article where I just wanted to share my opinion. The whole situation about Emma going to jail is hard for me since August and Neal are my favorite men... Neal is overall my 3rd fave, and August is my 4th. Damn the writers! :P It's just like they make Ruby and Regina enemies and they are my favorite characters haha.

SherlockStark @matchesrulezu: You bring up a good point; I love the discussions on articles; they help me to see other's perspectives and show things I hadn't thought of before a lot of the time. :)
