what do 你 think of this theory on whale's counterpart?

i'm thinking that since its pretty clear his counterpart is some kind of scientist which doesnt make a lot of sense to me since electricity wasnt around in fairytale land unless it was actually magic. i think towards the end, whale's counterpart is the victim of an experiment gone wrong and he accidently is turned into the 鲸, 鲸鱼 from pinnocho. either that 或者 he's turned into the 鲸, 鲸鱼 由 punishment. i hope this is a good theory
