Depends what kinds of things she likes. If she enjoys the original Nintendo stuff, Mario games are great (so stuff like Mario Kart...everyone loves Mario Kart), if she likes sim type games then Animal Crossing and from what i've been told Harvest Moon is also good. I will admit the silly stereotyping of Cooking Mama for girls...it's a fun game, lol.

It just really depends on the types of games, but good starters are Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.

Cooking Mama is fun and even draws in non-gamers who try it out. Feel the Magic and Wario Ware Touched are fun pick up and play games but will sometimes embarass you in public.
They have parts that use the microphone.
Kirby Canvas Curse is fun too.
