The Perks Of Being A Skeleton

is any indication, being a skeleton is awesome. Sure, there’s the whole being dead thing, but other than that small setback it seems like a sheer delight. Jack Skellington is basically our hero, and part of that is because he illustrates all the cool things skeletons are able to do. What things, you might ask? Well, these things:

1. Taking off your head to recite Shakespearian quotations.

We love reciting Shakespeare (who doesn’t really) but we’ll never achieve the dramatic emphasis we strive for as long as our heads are attached to our bodies.

This would be HUGE. Can you imagine never having to be itchy ever again???

It’s not made entirely clear if you have to be a skeleton to acquire a ghost dog, but Jack Skellington is the only resident of Halloween Town that  has one, so our deduction is that you do, in fact, have to be a skeleton to have a ghost dog.

4. Sticking Christmas lights directly into your eye sockets is not a horrible idea.

5. Playing fetch with your dog is as easy as pulling out one of your rib bones.

If we had a penny for every time we’ve needed something for our (regular non-ghost) dog to fetch, but had nothing, and could have really used the ability to detach a rib bone, we’d be millionaires.

6. Nine words: Ability to hide inside a snowman and not freeze.

7. Wearing a pumpkin over your head whilst breathing fire.

A great party trick that, for obvious reasons, we mortals can’t pull off. (Not to mention that back bend.)
