So I registered and did my profile, that was easy, Name: yeah, Age: tell the truth! 最喜爱的 Movies, Books, Hobbies and so on, Select A User Icon: yes I can do that, Submit, 个人资料 Complete, easy? no it was like: 'what now?' I didn't know how to 粉丝 people 或者 even where to start, help, how do 你 粉丝 someone and what's a spot and how do I 加入 and WTF?
But eventually after searching 潮流粉丝俱乐部 'every day' I had a few people 粉丝 me and I fanned them back (thanks aholic, 你 were my first fan) I joined a few spots and picked on some 粉丝 pick questions, I even had a go at a few pop 测试 questions, then I checked out the spots that I'd joined, I saved some videos, 图片 etc. and rated and 评论 on everything that I liked.
Then I found the section that says 'Create New Spot' (or club, as they are called now) okay, I'll create a spot, once I clicked on it I was stuck, 'Spot Name' what do I call it, even worse, what do I do with it? I didn't have a clue, so I called it 'Fantasy Wallpapers' a spot that I could put anything on, then I selected a banner and a crappy 图标 and just left it there, I went back to it the 下一个 日 because I hated the 图标 (which was another version of my users icon) and I hated the name, I wanted the spot to have a bit of everything in it, so I changed the icon, kept the banner and renamed it 'Bits And Pieces.'
At first it was hard to get fans, any fans, not even 'one' fan! and some people bagged it, because it was just another 'random' spot, 'no it's not, it's a spot I made' and it's the only one I had, and at that point I actually considered leaving Fanpop, then I thought why, for what? I didn't know that I'd made a 随意 spot, I didn't even know what a 随意 spot was! still no fans, and I continued to add heaps of content to my one 'little' spot, note to self: keep contributing to 'my' spot and save, rate and 评论 on material in other spots, oh and add some content to those as well, I started 写作 a few 文章 and getting involved in forums, and still no fans.
So I kept adding content to that spot, I made it, I liked it, and the content kept building, what! one fan, then two, 'Bits And Pieces' has over thirty 粉丝 now, and I've got a medal for being a dedicated fan.
Since then I've made eleven 更多 spots, (I think that's enough) I 爱情 making 粉丝 pick questions, pop 测试 问题 are okay, 写作 articles, adding 图片 and getting involved as much as I can, I now 'finally' know how to include 视频 (thanks again Cammie) and I added my own link, 'by mistake!' (and thanks to Sazza, for doing my first link)
'Bits And Pieces' was a great learning experience for me, it taught me how to be creative and I would never give it up, even though there were some suggestions to take it down and start again, no way! and if 潮流粉丝俱乐部 hadn't agreed to that spot, it would be gone 由 now.
So if you're new and you've just created your first spot, stick with it, and add as much content as 你 can, people 婊子, 子 too much about things they don't like, even if plenty of other people do like it.
Maybe there should be a 'Mind Your Own Business' spot, I'm serious and if someone makes it, I'll 加入 and add as much content as possible, so enjoy your spots, whatever they are, don't give up on something 'you' started, and always continue to have fun on Fanpop.
