What would General Li (Shang's father) have thought of Mulan?

I think that he would have reacted similarly to 花木兰 being a girl dressed as a boy in the army, but taken a bit longer to get over it. He wouldn't have helped 花木兰 at the end, like Shang did, but after the she saved the emperor, he would have been fine. Or..... He would have hated it all the way through and completely disgraced his son for having a relationship with Mulan.
