Day 1 - Last Movie Seen (in theaters)
Well, I didn't see it in the theater technically, but loosely interpreting the day to mean last movie that I saw that came out in theaters recently, my answer would be Jurassic World (I haven't been to a theater in many years).

My favorite legitimate horror movie is Funny Games US. (Two creeps hold a family hostage in their own home, lots of psychological torture.) My favorite cheesy, obviously terrible horror movie is Cruel World. (College students think they're part of a reality show... buuuut when you get voted off, you die.)

I'll go with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Not the first movie, and most definitely not Mockingjay, but Catching Fire was one of the best book to movie adaptations I've seen. It was loyal to the source material, left some stuff out (which is fine and to be expected) but overall added on to what made the book good and was just such a good film adaptation.
The first film was an average adaptation, and well, the Mockingjay film adaptation had little good material to work with, so it did the best it could do I guess, I just really dislike Mockingjay.
I'll also mention Harry Potter in general. Ace movie adaptations.
