TWO very different Hollywood starlets will do battle at the box office this weekend, as the 变形金刚 sequel and Hannah Montana: The Movie look to seduce school holiday audiences.

Hannah Montana boasts the squeaky-clean Miley Cyrus, while Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen makes good use of the celebrated curves of the sex bomb of the moment, Megan Fox.

The outspoken Fox, 23, admits Revenge of the Fallen isn't much about acting.

"It's not trying to be the greatest movie on earth," she told US magazine Entertainment Weekly. "It's a bad-a--- 爆米花 movie."

Fox's skimpy outfits and plenty of robot battles make Revenge of the Fallen a teenage boy's delight.

Hannah Montana, a spin-off from the 流行的 迪士尼 TV series about a teenage pop star, can count on an audience of devoted tweenage girls.

The first 变形金刚 was Australia's fifth biggest film of 2007, grossing $27.9 million.

Last year's 音乐会 movie Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds was a limited release, and took just over $1 million.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is already doing booming business at IMAX Melbourne, where its first public screening was held at midnight on Tuesday.

Every session on Wednesdau was sold out and IMAX expects full houses right into school holiday season 下一个 week.

Also on offer for the holidays is the animated sequel Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, which opens on Monday, while Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince just misses the holiday rush, opening on July 15.
