I sat outside his room all night.
I silently shifted from reality and dreams as I sat on the ground and rested my head against the closed door. I didn't relax until I finally heard the soft, stead breathing of sleep from Michael.
I replayed the whole incident tonight in my head. The window. Rushing to fix up his lip. The dash back upstairs. He told me to get some sleep, but truth be told, I couldn't rest a wink.
