Chapter 10
“What’s up?” Elizabeth asked as she looked right at Dom.
“Elijah…”
“What now?” She asked as she rolled her eyes.
“He’s been…watching her and even interrupted once.” He 说 as he clenched his fists in anger.
“Interrupted?” I asked.
“Yes, there’s rules for a reason.” Elizabeth 说 as she turned and smiled at me. “Hello, Alexandra how are you?”
“Yeah someone’s going to have to explain these ‘reasons’ to me..and answer a hell of a lot of questions.” I 说 as I looked from Elizabeth to Dom and back. “Oh, and hello Elizabeth, sorry if I’m coming off rude.”
“She is a little spitfire isn’t she?” Elizabeth 说 as she laughed. “You’ll fit perfectly.”
“Ok.” I 说 as I got really pissed off. “Enough with the little cryptic messages, enough with the jokes…just tell me what’s going on…Dom, please?”
“You’re going to have to tell her ya know?” Elizabeth 说 as she smiled at me.
“I know Elizabeth…but not yet.” Dom 说 as he looked at me and spoke again before I could get upset. “Alex, we have quite a while. Please let me explain when I can, in a different place..if Elijah is truly watching 你 then I can’t say what I want to now…it will only help him.”
“Help him how?” I asked as I took a step closer to him.
“He knows that…”
“Just tell her 你 idiot.” Elizabeth said
“Elizabeth.” Dom 说 with a look that made me want to step back, but I didn’t.
“No, don’t get mad at her.” I 说 as I closed the distance between us. “Please, just tell me what 你 can and I will go with you.”
“Elizabeth, give us a second.” He asked as he reached for my hand and waited until my hand wrapped around his.
“Ok but I won’t be far.” She 说 as if she could defend us somehow.
“Dom?” I asked as I touched his shoulder, hoping he would look at me, just tell me what the big secret was.
“He would try and either turn 你 against me 或者 use 你 somehow to hurt me.” Dom 说 softly as he looked at the ground. “He knows how…important 你 are to me..that it would kill me to not…”
“To not what?” I asked as my pulse raced.
“To not have 你 here, with me.” He 说 as he looked up at me.
I was instantly 迷失 in my own thoughts, so many things were going through my mind…I had so many 问题 that I still needed answered but none of them mattered at this moment. All I could think about was this guy standing in front of me, holding my hand who just told me that he couldn’t live without me. That I didn’t actually know him 或者 anything that was going on here, but deep down that didn’t matter to me..I knew instantly that I felt the same way, that I didn’t want to be away from him..that I wanted to stay here both to find out what was going on and because I didn’t want to be apart from Dom.
“Alex?” Dom asked, the tone in his voice made it obvious that he was getting nervous.
“Sorry,” I said, and as soon as the words came out of my mouth I wished that I could take them back because he took it the wrong way, I could almost feel the hurt and sadness coming out of him.
“It’s ok.” He 说 as he went to pull his hand out of mine.
“No.” I 说 as I held his hand tightly in mine. “Wait, Dom please hear me out.”
“No, it’s ok Alexandra. I understand.”
“No 你 don’t.” I 说 as I stepped so close to him that I could feel the heat coming off of him. “I feel the same way…I don’t know how..or why but I don’t want to leave you, the idea of being away from 你 scares me. The whole time I was gone, after I fell on the ice I was trying to get back here, back to you.”
“Really?” He asked in disbelief.
“Truly.” I 说 as I felt myself blush.
“You’re not just saying it?”
“Why won’t 你 believe me?” I asked, my feelings hurt.
“It’s…” He 说 as he got frustrated. “I thought 你 were going to say no, that 你 didn’t feel the same, that..”
“Dom, what can I do to prove to 你 I feel the same way?” I asked him as I dropped my hands to my sides, unsure what to do with myself.
He looked at me for a 秒 before he leaned down and kissed me, his lips so soft and smooth against mine. I was shocked at first and wasn’t sure how to respond, but something deep in my soul told me that this was right.
“What’s up?” Elizabeth asked as she looked right at Dom.
“Elijah…”

He looked at me for a 秒 before he leaned down and kissed me, his lips so soft and smooth against mine. I was shocked at first and wasn’t sure how to respond, but something deep in my soul told me that this was right.
