Sorry, no one comes close to Colin Firth!

collin you are the best and i don't like this new film.

I saw the new one first, but I did rent the Firth version as well. Matthew was amazing!

I LOVED both of them, though I must admit I liked Colin's a wee bit better :)

What a tough question... i had to answer that Colin Firth was better because overall O like that version better, however he was pretty good also!

I liked them both, but Matthew was much sexier and brooding than Colin.

Both films for its beautiful ... and choose between them would not be right ... every movie was targeted at one time ... 90 years, people thought differently ... so that I can say that movies really wonderful ... the first version of the film similar to the theater.

Matthew is a great actor but I prefer Colin Firth in the role of Darcy.

I hate Firth's Darcy.....

Even though Colin was great, I preferred Matthew. I felt that he did a better job of portraying the underlying insecurity that Elizabeth evoked in Mr. Darcy. It was a subtle nuance but one that gave his Darcy more depth of feeling.

I LOVED both versions of Mr. Darcy, but I thought Matthew portrayed his passionate, but barely controlled love for Elizabeth more than Colin did. Or maybe it was the delivery of some of Mr. Darcy's lines that showed his desperation for Elizabeth to love him. He was a perfect Mr. Darcy, just PERFECT! *sigh*

Sorry, I love Matthew as much as the next fangirl, but really, it is a truth universally acknowledged that Colin Firth is the definitive Mr. Darcy. Nobody else even comes close.

For me! Matthew is the best and the only Mr. Darcy =)

Oh Matthew all the way! He just loves Elizabeth sooo much and his expression throughout the movie is perfect for the role! I refuse to see the one with Colin Firth because it will only ruin my image of Matthew as Darcy. No one comes close, and no one will ever do better!!! :)
