Is a sex change really a sex 'change'?

Officially it is a change in certain ways in that 你 have to change the sex on your liscense and other paperwork. And in a lot of cases their bodies too from hrmones 或者 surgery.

But if a person feels they are the other gender already, at least inside, psychologically and emotionally, then it isn't a change in that respect it's 更多 of a 'confirming' of their true gender, a word I heard someone use who works with people on gender identity issues.
