LGBT 问题

Do 你 think that the thing about Christians and other certain religions not liking gay/lesbian/bi/transgender peopleis now a thing of the past? Has it effected you?

I am not LGBT, I am just curious about this.

I'm not clear on the question. Do 你 mean that the anti-gay philosophy is dated, 或者 that there is no longer prejudice against LGBT in religion?

No, it's not in the past. It's very much in the present and in the future. There will always be people out there who hate LGBT's. And yes it has affected me and it makes me sad that the narrow minded people who tell me i'm going to burn in hell, can't take a 分钟 to look in the mirror and fix themselves they are always trying to fix other people, when they are not perfect themselves.

I am a christian myself. I'm not a lesbian but I believe strongly that no matter what your sexual orientation is 你 should always be proud of who 你 are and that no one should treat anyone like they are worth less than them. I believe that these so called christians who say these horrible things to people are closed minded idiots who are not real christians at all. I believe that all people should have the same rights but until we can get rid of the fear and hate that many christians have, I'm afraid it might never happen.

It's certainly not a thing of the past, no. I have 老友记 who really think it's a sin 或者 etc to be homosexual 或者 bisexual. But hardly any of them try to change me 或者 freak out 或者 anything. They told me it's wrong once when I came out and since then they haven't even mentioned it. Actually, it's kind of interesting to hear all the different beliefs of how it's wrong. Not really a happy interesting, though.

As for me, I am a straight Christian girl. However, I am a bit..well...a lot 更多 logical and open-minded than some of the so called Christians I've talked to in the past.

What some of those 'christians' always fail to answer is why do they hate/condemn the LGBT community when the Bible says in Romans that ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that WHOSOEVER [all] who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Like I said, most brush it off to focus on further ranting against LGBT. Idiots.

I have many gay/lesbian friends, and my close cousin recently came out as bi. I see her no differently now than when I didn't know.

People need to get over themselves.

Sadly No.
My family and the church they belong too make me sick, so sick I refuse to go anymore. I don't know about any other denomination, but I know that the Lutheran church will refuse to let this one go. They preach openly to the fellowship to try and make these "victims of sin" see their evil ways and lead them back to the Lord on a righteous path (In other words try to change them back) I find it absolutely disgusting since, I'm bi myself and I like 'who I am, how I am' and everyone else should be just as proud of themselves, no matter if they are gay/straight/ect.

I believe that sexual preference should have no bearing on some ones Religious beliefs. Especially since Religion itself, is much 更多 of a personal "choice" than being gay will ever be.
The Bible teaches "acceptance" so why can't the church?

I so agree with that last sentence! The church is the biggest hypocrites ever!! (at least the Catholic church) They talk all about how God loves us all and how we should all accept each other for who we are and then they have rules against gay/lesbine marrage!! (i could go on and say who they don't let women do a lot but i'll leave it for now) anyway sorry for the rant

I don't think that certain religious people/groups being antigay is not a thing of the past. It is a present issue and will be a future issue. Even though some religious people/groups have embraced gays (or at least decided to respect them), there will always be religious people/groups who dislike gay people either because they are they themselves dislike gay people 或者 because their religion as a whole dislikes gay people.

I think the fact that there is still so much prejudice in today's society is sad. For me, religion is big because even though im atheist, the rest of my family is roman catholic so I've been forced to stay in the closet. It's really hard at times to be honest....

I definitely don't think it's a thing of the past yet. I've been discriminated against 由 many people of religion, and it hurts. Most of my family has disowned me because I came out as pansexual to them at our last family reunion, and they are extremely conservative Christians. My parents and my grand parents are very supportive, and that's all I could really ask for.

Thankfully I have never experienced anything remotely prejudice against me for being gay, even in my own religion Catholicism. In the sense of 基督教 I think the hate against the LGBT community has gotten a lot better. I'm sure there are some people who dislike the community, but 你 can't deny the relationship between the church and gay people has gotten better. In the sense of Muslims in Islamic countries, well....since 你 can be sentenced to death for homosexual acts there...I don't think the hate for us is going to lighten up for years
