HEY. We are not an obvious couple. Obvious couples suck. I don't wanna be an obvious couple. I hate couples without build-up. We will NOT happen until the end of "season 1" in the fic.

Why would anyone want to be a couple that's in the mainstream anyways? Most people that ship them are very biased. I think Robb and Rachel should have a way more complex story, without being shipped by everyone in the beginning. Like Klaus/Caroline. Not many even pictured them in the beginning, and when their scenes started everyone was surprised or devastated, but now it's practically the only couple I love in TVD (I count it in the Originals now) and Klaroline fans outnumber Forwood fans the way I see it. That's what I picture Robb/Rachel as, not a perfect or "obvious" couple from the very start.

Gotta pick this because its basically true. We both want Damon, and it's become a sort of triangle with him!

The point was that a lot of people might enjoy being part of the obvious & mainstream couple, but I'm not one of them. That's that.
