I could hear Kate's voice but was still not all the way awake yet. I felt her paws on my chest and she began to shake me.
"Not now Kate, we can have fun later..." I mumbled still partially in my sleep. Now I could feel her nose near my ear, I could sense her mouth opening and about to close..."Ouch!" Kate bit me on the ear! Now I was awake. I glared at her irritatedly, "what is with you?" I saw the fear in her eyes just then.

*author's note: the camping trip is now over, this is written to pick up the pace of my stories a bit, still the most exciting part has yet to come!*

When the camping trip ended; the Airstream unpacked at home, the usual routine resumed. Now since school was out I went to work full time at the store. For 3 days I would work a full 8 小时 shift. The money was much better but I still needed 更多 to save for college.
I landed a job with one of dad's old 老友记 who was also a part time mason. A man named Tim, he like my dad was older and had a bad back too. I worked at that job for 2 days...

The 下一个 morning Buddy took off exploring. Buddy was searching for beavers. They had constructed a new dam downstream from where the old one that he had plunged into the 前一个 spring was. He came upon the newly constructed dam and to his surprise there was hardly any water in it; 3 beavers were sitting in the middle of it, watching him. Buddy strolled up to them, they made to run however.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to eat you!" Buddy said.
"Okay, 你 better not I warn 你 dammit!" One of the beavers said.

The 下一个 morning was a bright and sunny one, I woke to the sun streaming in the small window in my bedroom in the trailer house. A nice break considering all the rain we had been getting. Kate laid with her paws around me, we had had been making out and fell asleep doing so the night before.

Kate's eyes opened, she was laying on her side on a warm soft surface. Her eyes scanned over her paws, that is odd. The gashes that Buddy left there were no longer visible, as were the gashes on her belly and the bite wounds around her neck. Her whole body was free of pain and hurt. Kate got to her feet and looked around, it was very beautiful out here. Kate heard water running and followed that noise, she fancied a drink right now. A walking bridge came into sight and it was then she recognized this place.

After driving for about 10 minutes, the Bronco rolled to a halt in my driveway. It was pretty much dark now except for a hue of dim 粉, 粉色 on the west horizon. "This is it Kate! Welcome to our house!"
I jumped out and hurriedly went around the side of the Bronco to Kate's door and opened it for her.
