I'm scared. I'm horrified. How could anyone choose anyone besides Colin Firth? I mean seriously! I've see the new film and that guy is rubbish beside Colin Firth. Colin Firth will always be Mr Darcy. The end.

If you read the book then watch the 1995 adaption, you would know that Colin Firth was THE BEST Mr. Darcy. I am sorry, Matthew McFadyen fans but there it is....

COLIN FIRTH.

Colin Firth IS Mr. Darcy.
I feel like I'm in the twilight zone with people choosing Matthew McFadyen. His lines were too forced. In my opinion, that film version was awful. It didn't seem to do the book justice, where the Firth/Ehle version is accurate to the book and to the era itself.

For me Elliot is the best Mr. Darcy, and Colin is second best. The 2005 movie is too different from the book, considering that it should be an adaption of the book.

For me, the BEST Mr. Darcy is David Rintoul. He is really proud, arrogant, handsome, elegant and aristocrat, like I imagined Mr. Darcy when I read the book.
