Is anyone elese bothered by the Paris and Jacob comparison? Because it bothers the hell out me!!

Let's see some things here.....
-Juliet never really liked Paris
-Paris was not Juliet's friend
-Juliet would rather DIE then end up with Paris
-Juliet never fell in love with Paris
-Paris was a big pain in the neck

Now why would you compare Jacob to Paris?

It wasn't us who compared him. SM did it in the book. People just follow the book.

And i agree it's not a big deal. Don't need to read that much into it.

I think the comparison was made in the frame that "IF Juliet also loved Paris..." Personally, I don't know why the comparison was made by SM, but she did, so we just take it as is. I think a better comparison might have been King Arthur/Guinevere/Sir Lancelot. As much as I'd like to see Jacob as Lancelot, he's actually the "riskier" lover so he would be Edward. My two knuts. ;P

Other comparisons??
