Should I give up Invader Zim?

This is retarded. My father is the type of person who reads my social profiles on all my websites, so here's the deal. He wants me to give up Invader Zim. I don't know if I have a willpower bone in my body to stop watching it online. I think we need to bring out the big 枪 here: DARK HARVEST. If I see it enough 或者 at a bone-chillingly creepy rate, I'll be gone from here. But I don't want to give Zim up. Do 你 think I should? Are there any ways to stop this obsession without special help, like rehab?

Absolutely not! Keep watching IZ if 你 can get the permission!

I believe that 你 shouldn't stop watching IZ. I hope that 你 can convince your father that it is not doing harm to you. (Make sure 你 prove this 由 not being moronic and impersonating IZ, e.g. calling an authority a "liar" 或者 staring at the sun.)

Remember that your father loves 你 and truly believes that banning Invader Zim from your life is in your best interests.
He's not out to get 你 或者 oppress you; he honestly thinks that IZ is doing something unpleasent to yoou.

(Considering that 你 "can't stop watching" Invader Zim, and that 你 "don't have the willpower to stop" without horribly terrifying yourself with the atrocities of Dark Harvest, have 你 considered he's right and that 你 need a short break? Or, have 你 considered excercising temperance and only watching Zim once a day?)


Hopefully, your father will be willing to listen to 你 try and justify/explain away your addiction to Invader Zim and will be willing to meet in the middle.


When appealing a punishment, ALWAYS treat your authority with the utmost and highest respect.

DO NOT- I REPEAT, DO NOT -LISTEN TO KIDDY. Telling your father off with that kind of dark sass will doom 你 and your interests forever. You're not a brat. Don't look like one to him.
Considering his stalking paranoia, he might assume that IZ did that to 你 (even though it didn't), and will further cement his conviction to the point that Dib looks like a mild hobbyist in comparison of determinations.


Ask, with respect and courtesy, why he thinks IZ is bad for you, and after he speaks, courteously give him your reply. If he insists, offer a compromise of temperance/moderation (AKA one episode per 日 或者 less, etc.), 或者 accept a temporary stay in viewing (you can take a week 或者 a month, right?).


Whatever 你 do, doit with respect. Use kindness and manners when challenging, and remember that your father isn't after 你 或者 seeking to ruin you. He loves 你 and truly thinks he's doing what is right.

Lastly, if 你 think it has a shot, get your mother in on it and try to have her help you.

Heh, thanks, Shroomy. 你 give better 建议 than my mom. Speaking of that, she is the one who takes me to Hot Topic (just to look.) and the lazy parent when it comes to this. However, my father doesn't approve of my job at the CPFW, and he doesn't like you, probably. I discussed it with him once, and his reply was "It's weird on so many levels." I don't get it. My parents have told me to be myself and like what I like, go about, living my life, and then they 取消 out my life source. But I suppose I could cut back. Seems easy enough, I just need to restrain that feeling I get on YouTube, the "hey-I'll-watch-IZ" feeling. I'll cut back to about two episodes per week, which seems like a good deal. My dad hasn't checked my profiles lately, so I think he might be done doing it. Thanks again, and if I could right now, I'd 吻乐队（Kiss） you.

You're welcome, friend. 由 the way, if 你 can, why not bring up the "be myself" thing? If they keep telling 你 this, maybe 你 can try and use it as a means to permit IZ. Tell them that watching IZ is part of being yourself, and re-affirm to them that it's just a fictional show. After all, it's all made up. My seven-year-old cousin watches I-Carly- almost as risque as Zim -and my family generally approves because he has a firm definition of what's real and what's not. (There are flare-ups of Sam/Samantha impersonations, but those are cut short because he knows what happens to him when he dares. ;) ) If 你 can prove to them that IZ isn't corrupting 你 或者 causing 你 to be 或者 do something stupid, I think they'll let 你 be, even if it is insanely weird. In fact, as long as 你 can exist in this world and obey proper social skills and etiquette, what's wrong with being a bit weird in private?
