It’s the stuff of dreams, Imagine Dragon’s chart-soaring 2012 LP Night Visions. Based largely on the subconscious nonsense that comes during deep sleep, the album—and singles “It’s Time” and “Radioactive,” both of which reached the 最佳, 返回页首 20 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list—struck a chord nationally and launched the Las Vegas-based band into stardom.

I saw Imagine 龙 over three years 以前 at the Velour, a dimly lit and intimate 音乐 hovel in downtown Provo. That stage was small, the building had a 250 person capacity and the band was one that seemed to still be finding its direction. That was not the same band I saw tonight playing for a crowd of over 8,000 in a full-blown rock 显示 at the UCCU Events Center.

I’m not talking about the changes they’ve made to their lineup. The Imagine 龙 of today are a fully realized indie rock ensemble whose 粉丝 base has grown exponentially since...

Yahoo!, the mammoth online portal, is in the 音乐会 biz now, with a new tour that played the Pageant on Wednesday night.
Yahoo! On the Road is hitting 27 cities; the twist is that each city gets a different headliner. John Legend, Kendrick Lamar, Fall Out Boy, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and the Lumineers are among the headliners in various cities. Imagine 龙 and Owl City performed at the St. Louis stop.

Imagine 龙 sold out the Pageant in March; Owl City also played the Pageant in March in a separate show, making the Yahoo! On the Road selections for St. Louis look a little unfair....

In its four-hear history, MTV's Musical March Madness tournament has seen no shortage of 灰姑娘 stories — Owl City's unlikely ride to the Sweet 16 in 2010, Disturbed's dream run to the Final Four in '11, F---ed Up's shocking upsets of Mumford & Sons and Radiohead last 年 — but eventually, the clock strikes midnight, the carriage transforms back into a 南瓜 and the glass slipper shatters.

In other words, they've each come up short in their quest for the championship. But with the 2013 MMM tournament set to tip off Monday, March 18, there's a whole new group of upset-minded upstarts...
