Hugh Laurie Nominated for 2011 Emmy Award

I wonder what episode he used for his nomination? There were some good ones this season. I want him to win so bad. He's been nominated so many times. It's gotta hurt not to win.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Hugh submitted "After Hours" for the Emmy.

Hugh should have won at least 3 times already. BUT last year he was cheated for sure. Brian Cranston could barely make eye contact with Hugh last year. He KNEW that Hugh had been cheated!!

But I suspect Hugh and his incredible talent will again be overlooked in favour of an American actor and with Brian Cranston not in the mix, the Emmy will either go to Jon Hamm or that revolting Steve Buscemi.

They are “home town” boys after all!!

Hugh’s talent aside, I am of the opinion he keeps getting included simply to boost the category and to draw viewers. One on One, Hugh has millions more fans than any other the other actors in his group! But hey, fans are not stupid. We know it is more about “Hollywood Politicking” and leverage than actual talent that is considered.

To ME Hugh has always been and will remain the WINNER.

I think "After Hours" is a good one. He was Brilliant in that one.

The award always seems to go to someone American who is new. I really want Hugh to win, but I bet the guy from "Boardwalk Empire" will get it.
