Cuddy woke up the 日 after her 晚餐 with House feeling lighter than usual. Sure, he had manipulated her into the 晚餐 and had stolen a kiss, but she finally had confirmation that he did want her. She knew he was a disaster area. He was chronically cranky, snarky, arrogant, and self-destructive, but she never felt 更多 connected to any other man in her whole life.
She was only 19 when she first met him at Michigan. He was 26 and a grad student. He was legendary for his antics, unethical methods, and rebellious attitude. The professors loved his genius yet hated his personality which was always of a combative nature. Oh, he hated authority of any kind. She found him to be rather annoying. He was sleeping with a friend of hers, to whom she doesn't remember the name now, and 说 friend shared her dorm suite.
**************************************************
Cuddy had just finished a long night of lab work when she made it back to her suite. The lights were off which meant her roommate was already asleep 或者 out. She was hoping that whatever the case may be she would be able to enjoy her solitude.
As she stepped into the small living room, and turned on the lamp, she saw empty 啤酒 bottles on the sofa and crumbs all over the coffee table. She groaned in frustration and was about to start cleaning up the mess when she noticed that her tupperware container marked "Lisa's Lasagena," was all but empty and lying on 最佳, 返回页首 of the 厨房 counter.
"I was waiting all night to eat that lasagena," she 说 aloud to herself.
"It was way too salty and burnt. I did 你 a favor," 说 the all too familar voice of her roommate's insufferable sex buddy, Greg House.
Cuddy turned around slightly surprised 由 the sudden intrusion but quickly regained her composure.
"I know you're used to being big man on campus, and scoring whatever 你 want whenever 你 want, but my lasagena 或者 anything belonging to me is not included on your list. I am not impressed 由 your 'too cool for school' persona. And I don't care if my roommate is your most 最近的 paramour. I'm not going to come here after a long 日 and deal with..."
Cuddy paused mid-sentence when she noticed him lay down on the sofa and turn on the t.v.
"Don't just ignore me!" she 说 as she unplugged the television.
"Start saying something 更多 interesting then."
"You are a complete asshole, 你 know that, Greg."
"And 你 are an uptight control freak who needs a good screw, Lisa."
Cuddy was so angry that she couldn't even find the words to retort so she found the 下一个 best thing: She picked up a 长椅, 沙发 枕头 and began pummeling him with it.
"Ow! Use your words not your fists 或者 in this case a 粉, 粉色 花边 pillow." he 说 as tried pulling her down. He finally grabbed the 枕头 out of her hands and threw it behind the sofa. He held her arms behind her.
"Let go!"
"Why? I like the view," he 说 as he eyed her chest.
Cuddy, seeing that he was distracted, took her knee and hit his groin. He fell over in pain. Cuddy rose to her feet and smiled victoriously down at him.
"You're lucky I'm too tired to do 更多 than knee 你 in the groin."
House wearily made his way over to the 扶手椅 rubbing his tender 'area' the whole time.
"For a little woman 你 sure do put up a big fight, Lisa."
Cuddy sat down on the sofa eyeing him smugly.
"Don't ever forget that either. Why are 你 here anyway? I know she's not 首页 或者 she'd be out here with 你 drinking up all my beer. She's a devoted girlfriend in that way."
"She was here an 小时 ago. She needed to go pick up some girl named Carrie who got wasted at that lame party in Brent Hall. She 说 I could make myself comfortable so I did."
"Carrie? Oh, 你 mean Karen. She hates Carrie she would rather die than ever help her."
"Whatever, the name really doesn't matter. All her 老友记 are the same anyway. Blonde. Boring. Bland...except for 你 apparently."
Cuddy rolled her eyes at him and got up to go to the fridge.
"There better be some 食物 left 或者 你 will be feeling my knee again."
He shuffled into the 厨房 and leaned against the counter.
"You're pre-med, right?"
"Yeah," she 说 as she pulled out some Indian take-out and proceeded to heat it in the microwave.
"So, how are 你 handling the organic chemistry classes?"
She looked at him questionably.
"You look like the kind of girl that placed into the junior level courses."
"Well, it has been challenging but I enjoy it. What about you? How is the grad program working out? 你 have real patients now which makes all of your mistakes much 更多 meaningful. It must be a little scary."
"Eh, I focus on the medicine not the patients. 你 can't be a good doctor if you're not objective. I don't need to know their names to treat them."
"Some connection is good though," she 说 as she took out her warmed 咖喱 dish and began eating.
"Hey, you're not even a real doctor. 你 don't have the right to an opinion yet," he 说 as he pulled out a spoon and took some of her curry.
"You already ate my lasagena now 你 try to mooch off my curry? 你 are so infuriating."
"So I've been told. Why are 你 老友记 with her anyway? Is it just because 你 room together so it's convienent 或者 do 你 actually like her?"
"You sound as if 你 don't like your own girlfriend, Greg."
"She's very nice, always willing to do anything for me, good at the horizontal mambo..."
"I don't need the details."
"She's as predictable as they come. I mean she's unbelievably hot but there just isn't much there."
"Well, if it makes 你 feel any better she is only using 你 for sex. Her goal was to sleep with the 'legendary Greg House,' but now she's actually thinking about dating Brian Adler soon...She is my friend because of convienence.I doubt we'll stay in touch after this year."
"So, I'll just have to end things with her before she can end them with me. Thanks for the heads up."
"I'm going to my room. I'm exhausted and 你 just make me even 更多 exhausted. So, goodnight..."
"Come on, we were having so much fun. I was just starting to get 你 to thaw your ice 皇后乐队 facade."
Cuddy smiled at him feeling a mixture of irritation and amusement.
"You can let yourself out." She 说 with a smile. She started to walk toward her room.
"I sometimes run in Glen Park on Saturdays before nine," he 说 suddenly.
She turned back around staring at him suspiciously.
"I like to run too," she 说 hesitantly.
House walked closer to her.
"So, maybe I'll bump into you."
"Maybe."
House smirked at her and made his way to the door.
"Goodnight, Lisa."
"Goodnight, Greg."

Cuddy smiled at the memory. He was a challenge from the start. He was the opposite of everything she stood for, but she had liked him anyway.
As Cuddy drove her car to work she felt so happy and nervous all at once. They would talk today. The 吻乐队(Kiss) would be discussed along with everything else that inextricably tied her to this beautifully damaged man. A man that she now knew she had always loved.
She would let Paul down easy because she did care about him. She would tell him that he deserved someone who loved him and only him. She would feel guilty about breaking it off especially after their night together. But as much as she hated to admit it, House had been right. Paul was merely a distraction from what she really wanted. She didn't think House would finally do something to let her know how he felt, but now that he had she was done with distractions.

I'll tell 你 a little bit about myself first. No offense to hamerons, but i have always been a outright HUDDY fan.So I am obviously bouncing off the walls. When this seaseon starts, I feel like everyone has kind of abandoned House. I mean I get the whole pain in the a$$ thing but still. Wilson is the one that fixes everthing and for him to basically laugh at him when he apologizes is cruel. THe bright light at the end of the tunnel is Cuddy is going to do whatever it takes to make House happy above anyone else.
SO GO CUDDY!
SO GO CUDDY!
