I don't really care either way about Lord Asriel, but I love Mrs Coulter! It was really sad that she died, but her sacrifying herself for Lyra made me love her even more, because it shows that, even though she's done such terrible inhumane things, she still has the capacity to love. It makes her such a complex, thought-provoking character and is now my favourite character in the series.

I loved it, but not for hating the characters. It was an epic way for them to both sacrifice themselves for their daughter. I think it's one of my favourite death scenes ever.
