I love Nicole Kidman, but I always saw Mrs. Coulter as having dark hair. But I think Nicole will do a good job.

Since Philip Pullman wanted this casting choice, then okay.

Yeah, i was annoyed that she didn't have dark hair too at first. But then, she seemed to be amazing in the trailers..

I do think she will be PERFECT!
I don't think I've ever been more excited for a movie.

I was skeptic at first, but when they released the photos of her as Mrs. Coulter I was 100% sure that she will do the character justice, both as an actress and in looks. So great!

When I was reading the first book I always thought "If they ever make a movie of this book they should cast Nichole Kidman as Miss Coulter." So now I am so excited about this movie because so far the casting looks exactly right.

At first I was a bit disappointed, but after seeing the trailer and images I think she looks perfect!

i actually always thought of Mrs Coulter as a blonde, even though she's written as having dark hair. i think it was because of the golden monkey.. i always pictured her as being golden as well, so for me the casting choice really fit. also, i've gotten a really cold, austere vibe from Nicole, so i think it's perfect haha.

She did and she did a perfect role I loved her in the film

she was a vacuous void where a significant dramatic screen presence should have been, like she is in all of her roles. she has no ability to genuinely emote and is overly trained as a means of no doubt compensating for this lack of talent. actors are born and not made. i can't believe she gets any respect as an actor. she was terrible in this movie, though she did of course look fabulous.

At the first the hair was a little bit of surprise but then I got used to it. She did a great job!

Actually, I think that all cast was so good and fitting Their roles, just that the movie was a problem.

I don't really like the 'blonde bombshell' image as the book emphasises how she has very dark hair and eyes. However, she still has the beauty I was hoping for, and she plays the part well.

Only criticism: she's not supposed to be blonde. Why is she blonde? Why change such an obvious and simple detail? It's not like it would be hard to dye someone's hair or give them a wig.

^That's my one issue too. I always interpreted it as being that Lyra's illegitimacy would have been obvious because both Mrs. Coulter and her husband had dark hair, so it would have been more than just hair colour. Colouring her hair or wearing a wig would have been easy, and it's something most actors and actresses are willing to do for a role.

She doesn't look right.
