I remember when I first got into Hetalia, like most things 日本动漫 it was later than everyone else (not until the summer of 2011) but it was like a sugar rush, I fell in 爱情 with the 显示 after just the first episode, and couldn't stop watching when I probably should have been doing other things, like sleeping.... (heck I'll sleep when I'm dead!) I even got my mother into the show, and shes not an 日本动漫 粉丝 (though she did like Inuyasha) but I talked about 黑塔利亚 enough to the point where she was interested in seeing it and ended up really liking it (not to the extent that I did of course) last 年 I even cosplayed as Germany at AX in LA and had a blast at the gatherings (I'll admit I was nervous at first to go) but I'm so glad I did, everyone made me feel at 首页 and broke through my shyness, there was a really good Persia, excellent cosplay. When I finally got my first smart phone I had Germany as my background and my ringtone was Italy's theme song. I always got looks from people but i didn't really care, lol.
Its dying down a bit now but I still like, its still the best anthropomorphic version of history that I've ever encountered.
