The 下一个 day, during class, it was extremely hard for me to focus. Hugo's words haunted me. They're still going to make the horcruxes. We offically had a first-class problem on our hands, and it wasn't going to be easy to solve. We debated telling our cousins, but we still weren't sure if we wanted them involved, until James pointed out that they already are since they know about Hugo.
So we're all going down for a visit, (even Aimee and Lizzie) to see them after school. I think I'm the only one out of our crew that's really nervous about it, because I know that Louis will blow his top.
And maybe yell at Hugo. But it's not that Hugo doesn't deserve it, he did really get involved in something that he shouldn't have, but as Mum likes to say: It's in the past, and we can't change it. (Unless 你 have a time turner, but we don't have access to one. Sadly.)
So, during Defense Against the Dark Arts, I have no attention span to the class, 或者 the professor.

''ROSE!'' Professor Hopkirk looks like she's about to burst. Aimee is shrinking away from me slowly, because Hopkirk can be scary when she's pissed.

''Oops,'' I blush, and everyone in the room giggles. ''The moon?'' I know this is a stupid answer, but all that I know is we're reviewing for our Werewolf Cycle exam tomorrow, and I needed a Werewolf related answer.
The giggles in the room have now reached levels of laughter, it's totally obvious I wasn't paying attention. But Professor Hopkirk isn't laughing, she looks really mad. 'Mad' doesn't even really seem to cover it.

''Rose,'' She manages to get out without exploding, ''That wasn't what I asked.''

But for some reason, today I don't feel like playing her game. ''Well, I didn't hear the question.''

Her eyes widen, and all the laughter that was in the room silences. It's weird because it seems like something's wrong, like she isn't even going to say anything.
She actually looked like she might, but at that moment the 钟, 贝尔 rang, and nobody in that class stayed behind.

Walking to Hagrid's Hut, 3:00

''It's freezing,'' Albus whined. ''We should've brought our coats.''

''Oh, shut up and stop being a baby.'' Lily snaps. ''We're almost there.''

It's true, too. We're so close we can see Dominique poking her head through the window to see who it is. Her face lights up, and then all of the cousins came to the window too to see us.
I smile. Our family is a rarity: We 爱情 each other, and we have fights, but sometimes we really get along well.
We don't even have to knock before they open the door and 亚瑟小子 us inside.

''Teddy thinks it's going to snow soon,'' Victoire says. ''He thinks he can feel it.''

At this, we all laugh because nobody can 'feel' weather, except for Teddy. That part of his werewolf gene he inherited. But he doesn't turn into a werewolf every full moon, though. It's a very complicated story with Teddy.
But Molly walks in with some tea. ''I hope it's better than Hagrid's,'' She laughs. It is.

''So, why are 你 here?'' Louis asks. This is where our meeting gets dangerous. He always had a temper - one wrong thing 说 and it turned into a very big argument.

And amazingly, Hugo is the one to speak out. ''Remember my.. friends?'' He can't find the right word. ''And how they were making horcruxes? Well..'' He pauses. ''They're going to continue making them, and we need to stop them.''
There's a grimace in his face when he says it, and it bothers me. Like he thinks horcruxes are no big deal.
Louis ponders this for a moment. ''Well.. we can tell the professors, but that wouldn't be the way our family would do it. We can take matters into our own hands and fight.''
We all stare at him, because fighting doesn't seem like a very bright solution. He notices our blank faces.

''What I mean 由 fight is, we talk back. We convince them to stop.'' This relieves everyone, but I have one important question.

''But how?'' I ask. ''You really think we're just going to tell them to stop - and they'll actually listen? We need a better plan, a relentless one, a plan better than to 'fight'.''

Everyone stares at me now, with expressions mixed with admiration, and horror.

Surprisingly, Louis actually agrees. ''She's right. We need something of our own, a peace treaty. A horcrux of our own.''

''We're not exactly at war with them,'' Lily reminds Louis.

''Yes, but we know their very very important secret. In a way, we are.''

Nobody says Louis is wrong. We all know, in a way, he's right.

''So what should we give them as a treaty?'' Albus asks. ''I don't think we have anything that valuable.''

''It can be anything,'' Hugo says. ''Believe me, they're not looking for 'special' 或者 'valuable' stuff. They wouldn't care if it was a Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook.'' And as soon as he says it, he flinches, like he's done something wrong.

Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook.. why does that sound familiar?

''Alright, then.'' Louis says. ''Who has something they could give up?''

The room goes silent. None of us want to part with our stuff. ''I could give my sock,'' Molly says quietly.

Louis starts to tell her no, that she would freeze, but she pulls off her boot, and then her sock, and hands it out to Louis. He takes it in his hand.

''Now we need a plan to get it to them,'' Louis says. ''We can't just send it and say 'From the Weasley/Potter's, with Aimee and Lizzie.''

But Hugo has had a plan already. ''I'll get it to them! I could make a fib that I'm back on their side and be sort of our personal spy!'' Everyone seems to 爱情 the plan but me. Something's not right in Hugo's eyes.

''Alright then, Hugo!'' Louis gives Hugo the sock.

But then, suddenly, it all clicks.

''I can't find my DADA textbook! What am I going to do?!''

''Hugo will get the 秒 requirement.''

''They wouldn't care if it was a Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook.''

What was the third horcrux they were going to make again? I try to think with all the chatter and excitement in the room.

But my answer comes in the form of a compliment. ''Oh, Lizzie, I adore your bracelet!'' Lucy says. ''It's divine.''

The bracelet!

''STOP!'' I yell.

Everyone turns to look at me, their expressions reading: ..You okay? I'm not.

I look at Hugo, and glare at him icily. ''You're still with them,'' I manage to say. ''You were never on our side. You've been a spy for Abby and Blake.'' At first, everyone turns to defend Hugo, but once they see the fear in his eyes, they stop.

''You needed a 'second requirement','' I say. ''The 'second requirement' is that 袜子 in your hand.''

Louis looks especially pale. Molly is hiding her face in her hands. ''And the third requirement was a bracelet.'' I feel like I'm gloating now, I cracked his case. ''Would it happen to be Lizzie's? That 你 were planning to steal?''

''And Aimee! Your DADA book that was.. 'missing'? I BET HE 偷了 IT!'' I'm in rage now, I was cheated.

But Hugo has the opposite reaction. He relaxes.

''Rose,'' He says calmly. ''How could I have stolen Aimee's textbook? Boys can't get into the Girls Dormitory's.''

This statement startles me. He's right, I'm cornered. He could have never gotten into the Girls Dormitory. Unless..

''Hi, Rosie.. this is Kendall.''

''Wizard Chess isn't really my thing.''

''Unless 你 bribed someone,'' I say. ''That little girl, 你 were playing chess with? Kendall?''

But Hugo doesn't look very scared anymore. ''Why on Earth would I bribe a First Year?''

''Because 你 needed to steal the textbook from our Dormitory, and she could get in!''

''Kendall wouldn't do a thing like that! She's a sweet, innocent First Year, and I can't believe you're accusing her of a crime.''

But everything in my mind is slowly coming together.

''It's just like I 说 before, Hugo,'' I say calmly. ''You were never on our side.''

Hugo looks around, and notices he's trapped, and that I'm right.

''You got me, Rose.'' He says. ''Why would I ever be on your side? We never get anything done. We need power.''

Everyone's gawking at him now. We were fooled.

But Lily is the only one sobbing. ''Hugo, please,'' She begs. ''Why can't 你 come back? Be with us, as a family?''

''Please. Like I'd want to be with 你 people,'' He spats, and walks out the door to Hagrid's Hut holding the 袜子 in his hand.

I feel like crying like Lily, but that wouldn't be good. I need to 显示 defiance. I turn my head and look out the window slowly, and see in the distance, a figure lumbering up the many hills of the Hogwarts grounds.

Hagrid's back.
