I have read every book before the movie came out. I think it makes a major difference, because the 图书 are far superior than the 电影院 and they have many 更多 details that are not mentioned in the films. So when a person first watches the movie, that prevents them from having real "desire" to read the books, since they think they know the plot and pay only a little attention. The thing is that Harry Potter films lack so much compared to the books. And nothing is like the feeling of the Potterhead when they can't wait to learn what happens in the 下一个 book!
I watched the first four 电影院 before 阅读 the 图书 and they were confusing as heck. Like seriously. But the last four I watched after I read the 图书 and they made so much 更多 sense. It really makes a diffence if you've already read the books.
I think I saw the first two 电影院 before I read any of the books, because I was too young to read such a long book, but then I started 阅读 the 图书 (and I'm not sure what order I read them in).
I did read the 图书 before the 电影院 and I think it makes a small difference because 你 imagine the characters differently to how they are acted out in the movies. I 爱情 how the 图书 describe things and make them seem so realistic and from Harry's point of view it seems even 更多 wonderful because he's been raised 由 muggles so he's seeing it for the first time too, I just don't think 你 get that in the movies...
I watched a few HP 电影院 before 阅读 any of the books. If 你 did read the 图书 first however, it would make a difference, because 你 would keep thinking "That's not how I imagined it," 或者 "That's exactly how I imagined it." I know this because this is what happens to me with the Percy Jackson series.
I have read all the 图书 from PS to DH in order, and I have to say it does make a lot of difference. Firstly, the book is loads better than the movie manly because it gives 你 更多 detail and it's far 更多 able to make 你 understand some of the things that are not 'normal' to many people. For example - 唐克斯 is an megomaphorgas (I think I may have spelled it wrong...), in the 图书 Joan Tells 你 very clearly, while in the movie 你 just see 唐克斯 changing her nose to a pig's one.
