Most people don't give Twilight a chance, they've never even tried to read it. I'm a fan of both and it's not a competition about which is better so I don't really care.

I like twilight. but it is so poorly written in comparison to HP. And the plot is insanley predictable. I can understand why so many teen girls like it though. But Harry Potter is a universal book for all ages. its SOOOOOOOOO much better than Twilight.

to defend my opinion, I have read the novel Twilight and was absolutely disgusted with it on the first read. I even went and saw the movie, and you can read my review in the Twilight spot, and I even went as far as to give the book Twilight a second shot. Total snooze fest by about page 15 and I was completely reminded about why I hated it by about page 60. End attempt to like Twilight, committed to being an adamant hater of it. Oh, and I'm so glad Pattinson cut off his Edwardy hair, stick it to all you freakish fan girls! He's not Edward, he's not even Cedric, he is Robert Pattinson, an actor and real person! Sheesh I am so glad I never was squealy...

Considering the majority of the Twilight fans have extremely low IQ I'm glad they're not in the Harry Potter spot. Plus, one of the reasons I hate Twilight is because of the fuss all teenage girls are doing over it. Who cares how many fans it has on fanpop. Look at the statistics, Harry Potter has sold more books, made more money on movies and gotten far better critical reviews. Besides, Potter is winning on all the Harry Potter vs. Twilight debates so does it matter?

Besides popularity goes along with fads. I believe some other things that went out quickly was Eragon (though that was written well) and Series of Unfortunate Events (that was an interesting series).

Just because a spot has more fans doesn't mean the story is better. I look at the quality of the fans not the quantity hp and twilight have a large fanbace both have their fair share of loyal and unloyal fans. Having more fans is nothing to get too excited or worked up about.

Most of us have read twilight, don't accuse us of not reading it. I can't speak for everyone here but I was on the Twilight side first that's proof enough that I've read both series in fact I've read twilight over and over again because I liked it so much, but the more and more I read it the more and more I found that I didn't like it. So I have formulated my own opinions on the saga that where not influnced by the other haters.

of course there is more hp fans at Mugglenet because it is a harry potter fan's site. Fan pop are for fans of twilight, hp, jbieber,etc. and the fact that there are more twilight fans here means it is loved by many even if haters bash it. it's like britney and christina aguilera's rivalry. britney has more fans compared to xtina despite xtina's talent. but still, britney is much more adored because she has a larger fanbase. you can say you don't care if twilight has more fans. well, convince yourselves guys.
