What do 你 think of this?

你 are welcome to look at this website: link
What do 你 think of Seth? Sweet? A delightful man? A lovely little brother trying to help his big sis?
What do 你 think of Meyer? A lovely woman who is clever enough not to face the criticisms head on? Someone so humble that she'd let her little brother share her glory?
Look at this website: link
This is the official 'webmaster' page of Meyer's website. It's the masterpiece of Seth, our favourite author's baby brother. Doesn't he sound cute when he says, "She is in the process of writing/editing multiple books, and I think we can all agree that we would rather that she spends her time 写作 instead of 阅读 thousands of emails every day" and "If 你 have read this far, it probably means that 你 have plenty of spare time."
He just sounds so mature when he says (or writes) it. Don't 你 agree?
I bet he'd 前锋, 期待 an 电子邮箱 to Stephenie Meyer if it looks like this:
Stephenie Meyer, I just absolutely 爱情 your Twilight Saga! They're the bestest 图书 ever! 你 write waaay better than William Shakespeare! Seriously, 你 should definitely be the world's most celebrated 作者 of all time!!!! Twilight's changed my life forever - I am in 爱情 with my own Edward, and I intend on enjoying it! We've been together for a whole week already, and just like Bella, I would kill myself for him!

I'd like to know what 你 think of the super polite Seth and the mature Stephenie Meyer.

I'm sorry about your horrible mood, i hope everything's going alright in your personal life.

As for Seth, I think he's great, finally taking one of them on head on.

你 should read the actual "petition" and not just Seth's response.
你 can find it here:
link

Seth is right, t's not polite and respectful. i'll randomly scroll through the page and copy/paste a 随意 passage.
"Oh, and I definitely wouldn't have had Edward ask Jacob to impregnate Bella. That was crossing the line.

Here's something she 说 in an 音乐电视 interview :

"When I write the story, it's not like I'm thinking about what I'm doing..."

(To that we say, No, really?)

She was saying this in response to a flat out 问题 about Edward asking Jacob to sleep with Bella. She said, "I was surprised with how far gone he was."

SHE'S TALKING ABOUT EDWARD AS IF HE'S A REAL CREATURE MAKING DECISIONS FOR HIMSELF.

Ummm.... take some responsibility, please, Mrs. Meyer. "
Sorry, but I don't see any respect there at all.

I'll do it again, just for fun.
"What *can* we trust, Meyer? Even the fantasy/sci-fi genre demands some "reality" the story is based on.

Meyer claims that this is the way it was always going to be. She also says that Breaking Dawn (the wedding and baby) should have been right after Twilight, but she wrote New Moon and Eclipse because married in high school was too much of a stretch. Well, why not make Bella a senior in Twilight? She still got married right away after graduation anyway.

Meyer ended up 写作 two 图书 she hadn't planned on, and developing characters and storylines that were never intended to be a part of the series. The smart thing to do, the RIGHT thing to do, would have been to ditch the baby theme and go with the better, 更多 believable storylines that had beautifully emerged in the 秒 and third book. Instead, she plowed 前锋, 期待 with an ending that no longer fit, and did justice to none of the great things she created. "
Not outright disrespectful, but this person is obviously not sugar coating anything.

I don't think that Seth is sweet and delightful, but I don't care. I don't like people who are always sweet and delightful.

the girl who made the petition cant honestly be THAT dense. can she? seth may not have danced around the 衬套, 布什 like she might have preferred but he was diplomatic, and 你 could hear some anger in his response. but dont go and try to tell me that 你 wouldnt be angry if someone 你 loved took the tie to spend years working on a project and then have a bunchy of whiney teens think they have any right to criticize.
no one cares if theyre upset. they can whine all they want. make a thousand petitions with a million signature's each. but that wont change anything. its a fiction novel. therefore the writer has the right to do what she wants with HER characters. think about it. there always going to be people who are unhappy. im sure there are people who thought that 德赫 should be canon. so what. if that were to change and become canon then there would be even 更多 unhappy people. a completely unnecessary change would have been made. listen girly. the 电影院 out the saga's done. youre going to have o suck it up. no one is going to rewrite the 图书 and reshoot the movies. and your petition was rude. all 你 did was sit and accuse her as if she had no right to choose a logical storyline. the entire series was about how she kept choosing edward. she chose hime in the beginning countless times in the middle. if she were to do a 180 and go for jacob in the last book, there wouldnt be enough background story to support it and the last book would suck. why complain about him imprinting? there is nothing wrong with an ending where everyone wins. both jake, edward and bella are happy. heck, even rose is happy. sounds pretty nice to me. and i didn't even like the books. but 你 cant get after any fiction writer for writing. why dont 你 go yell at the baker for putting raisins in your bread. they can bake what they want.
thats also why they have fanfic. 你 say many people could have done a better job at 写作 it? 显示 me. let them write it. if you're unhappy, no one is stopping 你 from 写作 your version.

im done.

sorry for any typos 或者 grammar errors.

I don't think the one who started the petition was dense - I think she makes some valid points. I found Seth's response very rude, to be honest. I agree with the petitioner that Seth shouldn't keep negative response from his sister. Like 或者 not, she is a public figure and public figures always get criticism. As a writer myself, I know that constructive criticism is priceless to writers and no 作者 should disregard it. The petitioners aren't trying to change the saga; they want to be recognised as 更多 than 'the unhappy minority', which I completely understand.

As a pubic figure Stephanie can expect t receive criticism, but she is not obligated to respond to every single one. I know that if it had been me I would not bother to respond to it.
